I went to school with Chris since freshman year. He was a very smart young man with a great sense of humor, he was the only person who could make me laugh when i was in a bad mood...I even got a T-shirt with his picture on it to remind me of him forever... I love you Christopher and your always in my heart....

CHRISTOPHER
You were my brother,
And my best friend;
I can't believe that this,
Is how it has to end.
We used to run together,
And with you I loved to ride;
I don't know why God took you,
It must have been your time.
You're in a better place now,
And for that you will be missed;
When you left the last time,
Your cheek I should have kissed.
I hope you know I love you,
Many tears I have cried;
This doesn't seem real,
I can't believe you died.
You always made me laugh,
You always had my back;
When screwing up my life,
You never cut me slack.
I will make you proud,
And take charge of my life;
You just rest easy, I will be alright.
This taught me such a lesson,
I hope that you can see;
I know that your're in heaven,
Watching over me.
I'm sorry I wasn't there for you;
A big brother I should have been,
I'm gonna make it up to you,
I know that I can.
Chris, I really love you,
I hope that now you see;
I will be right here,
Living life for you and me.
Your loving brother, Patrick

To the Family,
I am sorry for your loss. You have my deepest sympathy. Revelations 21:4, 5: "God wil wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.' And the One seated on the throne said: 'Look! I am making all things new.' Also, he says: 'Write, because these words are faithful and true."
We can look forward to no more tears of pain due to death. Instead we will have tears of joy.

Yvonne, Dennis & Family,
We did not know Chris well, but he must have been a loving and caring person and our Tim loved him and will miss him greatly. Tim will always love and cherish his friend. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family and this difficult time. If there is anything we can do, please call on us.
Eileen
My most vivid memory of Chris will always be when He and Tim worked at our Knights of Columbus Christmas party for disadvantaged children. Chris was a great help setting up the hall, getting food, handing out the gifts and cleaning up afterwards. I could tell he was truly touched by what he was doing. Our Grand Knight and I both felt that Chris was a fine young man and tried to talk both boys into joining the Knights of Columbus but of course no 18 year old on earth thinks about joining us old guys in the Knights. Our Grand Knight expressed his thoughts about Chris's character in a letter that Chris took back to Paul VI, if you haven't seen that letter I'll try to get a copy for you.
We are so sad that such potential as Chris had was not fully realized. Nothing can bring Chris back but nothing can take him from our hearts. In my heart, I know He is happy and at home with God!

The world hardly got a chance to know you. I did not get to know you well. But I do know you through your wonderful Mom and Denny. We would have loved to have you visit with our family on weekends from Johnson @ Wales. Probably have given you full kitchen duty. Teens are special people with the energy and openness to offer the best of themselves and the inexperience and impulsiveness to make wrong decisions. I am so sorry that I will not see your best and oh so much more sorry that one impetuous act caused such a great loss. I will so much more cherish my children now. Thank you for making me appreciate the present and not worry so much about the future or dwell on the past.

To the Family of Christopher Mackell Schultes:
Please accept my sympathy at the loss of your dear loved one. The grief you are now experiencing is very natural. Jesus called death an "enemy" 1 Corinthians 15:26, and he himself even expressed his grief by giving way to tears when his friend Lazarus died. However, Jesus also said at John 5:28, 29 that the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs grave will hear his voice and come out to a resurrection. What a wonderful time of reunion that will be! At Revelation 21:3, 4, we find the heart-warming promise that God "will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
I hope that these words of encouragement from the Bible can help to soothe the pain you are now feeling.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Niedrist

My biggest regret is that I didn't get to know Chris better. Family functions fly by so quickly that it's hard to spend time with everybody. The cousins have gotten a little closer in the past few years because as we've grown older and more mobile, it's been easier to for us to get together on our own time. It's devastating to know that Chris will not be able to meet us out for a drink or play cards. In a family of colorful characters, Chris could definitely hold his own. I never tired of hearing the story of when Chris was little, he was running around the house. He whipped around the corner and ran into Vorn. Without pause, he looked up at Vorn and shouted, "You're Fired!" He had a quick wit and amazing sense of humor, even at such a young age. My heart is saddened by the sudden loss of such a dear family member.
May he remain with us always in our hearts.
Love, Eddie
