Dear Eleanor and family,
I will miss my brother Smyne. He always took time to call me, to see how I was doing. I can look far and wide, but will never find a better brother. I love you Smyne. Until we meet again! Your loving sister Eva.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Medany, but he was the father of my friend and former co-worker Jane Edgar. You can often tell how wonderful a person is based on the personalities of their offspring. Knowing Jane's warmth, sincerity, genorisity and humor, I can only assume that these traits were shared and instilled by Mr. Medany and his wife. For this I am grateful, for I have benefitted from Jane's friendship. Sir, may your soul rest in peace and may your family be comforted by the fact that you will have everlasting life in heaven through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Jane, many blessings to you and your family in the future. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you during this difficult time.

I have many funny memories of Smyne. Going through High School with Marie and Jane, How could you not? What I remember most is his gentle voice and kind heart. I know these last few years were difficult for all of you. Even though he wasn't himself, I KNOW he knew how much he was loved. We are keeping you close in thought and prayer.
Love,
Anne Marie, Scott, Ellyn & Jimmy

Uncle Smyne was a hard-working man; he said few words but had a great smile. You could tell that he loved his family a great deal. When I was a kid, I loved to visit the Medanys - plenty of room and fun. The house seemed enormous to me and the fact that he built the house impressed me.
I am also impressed at how his family pitched in to take care of him these last years when he wasn't himself. I will miss him.

Aunt Eleanor, Teddyie, Paul, Jane and Marie:
I am Robin's Grandson and I was fortunate enough to spend some time with Uncle Smyne in my younger years though we live out West and he lived on tne East coast. I remember going golfing with him and my grandfather and enjoyed watching the interaction between brothers as I experience with my own brother Jaime. He was a wonderful man and was loved by everyone he touched. Kind, generous, and giving like I have seen from all of the Medany's. He will be missed, and your family will be in my prayers at this time of loss.

"Time passes, love remains. For really what is this time we hold here? If not moments strung together as pearls connected by memories upon a slender thread. That for all of us at some predetermined time will be broken."
If you look back at the life of Uncle Smyne it's filled with humor, gentleness and love.I will always smile when I think of him.Remembering all the stories my Dad told of when they were young. What rascals they were, growing up during the 20's in Camden.Driving poor grandma round the bend trying to handle those 5 kids. And when I recall the tales I was told of their youth it was Smyne who was always the one hidden under the bed laughing.Joe talked his way out of everything, Dad was the level headed one and Smyne the clown.
A gentle soul inhabited his body all these 83 years and is now released to go home..And I can guarantee last Thursday night there was one hell of a party in heaven.
He is gone from us, but the memories that made up his life will be treasured by all of us who were blessed enough to know and love him.
