For Barb,
Words cannot begin to express our feelings for you and the loss you have endured. Please, just know that in all of our hearts, you will always be held tight, loved and cherished.
Special, private, is the love you and Al shared alone for each other and with your boys. But, the love we witnessed in your care for Al, the love you shared with us, that love was beyond measure. Your strength and devotion to Al throughout such a difficult time was inspirational and comforting. Thank God for you. And thank you for bringing us in to share those precious moments together.
Words alone cannot express our love for you. Al was a lucky man, and we were so blessed to have you there with him. Thank you.
Love,
The Dembowski Family

Al ? ?Lover of Life!? My very good friend. Many special moments, so many memories over a fast quarter-century. All of those times will be fondly remembered with a smile; most of them may even be shared with others. Now that?s bound to get some people wondering. - Me, I?ll just smile!
Al, You were always the catalyst for a good time or a smile, energized to the max, and an inspiration in life. Memorable times: The 3 chefs - Absolutely! But also, I?ll never forget sitting out on the deck at Avalon, so many times, long after everyone else called it a night, just you, me, a couple books, and your guitar, the cool night breeze, our talks, our jokes, the peace, the quiet, the way you?d suddenly reach over, pick it up and play us a tune, soft, neat, or upbeat, didn?t matter, just peace, and our laughter. Lot's of laughter. Ready for another cold one??I?ll fly!
Smile! I always will, thinking of you!

Al was a big brother that every kid brother would love to have had. I'll always remember my very first day of school when I cried so hard the teacher sent me home. Al held my hand, walked me home and talked me into the going the next day. From my first day of school through the birth of my first children, Al was always guiding the way and providing support. He showed me how to laugh and enjoy life. He was also gracious in sharing his friends, some whom I've known almost as long as Al. Though he will be sadly missed, his guidance will always be felt in my life. Love you Al.

I had the privledge and honor of knowing AL all of our 15 years together @ virtua. I will most remember Al for his care and concern for his "Patients" and his helpful nature to all of his co-workers. I will miss our talks about music, the beach, and our favorite Polish foods. I have fond memories of spending a week with my family at Al's Pocono home one summer. Al always made sure that everyone who stayed there had a great time. Al was a great care-giver, co-worker, and friend. You will always be missed.

BECAUSE HOPES AND DREAMS TAKE YOU AWAY TO DISTANT PLACES IN LIFE, THE LAST TIME I SAW MY COUSIN ALLAN WAS SEVERAL YEARS AGO AS AN ADULT BUT MY MEMORIES OF HIM TAKE ME BACK TO WHEN WE WERE VERY YOUNG. I REMEMBER HIM AS A GENTLE SOUL, A KIND-HEARTED BOY WHO WAS ALWAYS HAPPY AND LOVED HIS FAMILY. THE WAY ALLAN TOUCHED ALL OF THOSE WHO LOVE HIM AND WERE CLOSE TO HIM WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Al, when I met him in Aug of 98'. One thing I'll always remember is how selflessly he gave himself to myself and to others. He often stopped by the Farmers market to pick me and my co-workers up Jersey asparagus because I resided in PA at that time. I called him, "The Big Dembowski" I'll miss you.

Alan always had a smile on his face which lit up the room when you saw him. You always felt comfortable while in his presence. I'll always remember him playing the accordian. He continues to be a loving person and now watches over us. Will be sadly missed by his cousins, Renee and Joe and Uncle Ray.
