Our deepest and sincerest sympathies go out to each member of Frances McLaughlin's family. These last years have been long and difficult for everyone. But Frances left a beautiful example of patient suffering and her family has been devoted to her in every way through it all.
I first met Frances many years ago when we both worked in the same school. She was loving and caring to all the student who were under her guidance. She especially enjoyed Astronomy Night when my husband Frank brought his telescope to school, and the students and their parents enjoyed looking into the night sky trying to find different stars and planets, not to mention the moon of course. Every time there was an eclipse, visible comet, or other sky event, Frances would ask, "Is Frank outside with his telescope looking up? You can bet she was trying to view the events in the sky.
On one of my last visits with her I asked her what I could bring and on my next visit. She did not hesitate one minute and asked for cookies for her husband Henry. That is true love--- love to the end. She left me with that beautiful memory I will never forget.
Rest in peace dear friend. May her family find peace in the memory of a life well lived.
