Obituary of Edmund B Erickson
Edmund B. "Barry" Erickson, 71, of Thorofare, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Legacy
A charming and outgoing gentleman, Barry had a presence about him and commanded a room. He was a determined man with a strong personality and a very generous heart. Many special memories have been made on his travels to places such as Europe, Alaska, the Caribbean during 30 plus cruises all over the world. He especially enjoyed entertaining friends and family at the happiest place on earth, Disney. Barry was a collector of antiques and many items such as art, baseball cards, comic books and wine.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Barry was a resident of Thorofare for 20 years and prior to that lived in Williamstown since 1988. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps. Barry worked his entire career for the railroad including Conrail and the New Jersey Light Rail System. With his keen entrepreneurial mind he owned his own businesses throughout his life including an online ebay business.
Family
Beloved husband of Gayle C. (nee Rowan) and the late Rosemarie C. (nee Brett); loving father of Edmund B. (Patricia A.) Erickson and Desiree E. Brennan (James W.); dear brother of Eric (Janet) Erickson. Barry is also survived by his brother in law and sister in law, Jack (Sara) Rowan and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Barry's viewing on Tuesday evening, 6:30 - 9:00 PM and Wednesday morning, 8:15 - 9:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joachim Parish at Annunciation Church, 601 W. Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ Entombment at New St. Mary's Mausoleum, Bellmawr, NJ.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Barry's memory to Jane and Leonard Korman Respiratory Institute, Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health Office of Institutional Advancement, 125 S. 9th Street, Suite 600 Philadelphia, PA 19107.
