To the Family of Mr. McGuinness -
I could never put into proper words what Mr. "Bob" meant to me and my family. The love he had for "us" kids and my dad was so very special. The friendship that he and my dad shared was one to be envied. He taught all of us so much.
He was one of the best story tellers I will ever know. I still feel I know Mobile Oil and every golf course better than the exects and club pros.
He taught me how to use a 5 iron to chip and it is still the best shot in my bag.
He impacted so many lifes in such a special way - a true gift to all who have known him.
He is in heaven looking down on all of you with such pride and love - cheish that

Dear Maureen & Mike, Bob & Marge and families,
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved father & grandfather...and our beloved friend. 'Mac', as he was to Ron and I and our children, was a kind, funny and warm man who lit up our lives when we met him at the club several years ago. We looked forward to seeing him each Sunday and our children delighted in the love and affection he had for them. Mac would often stop by for visits at our home which was always a special time for us. He made us laugh with his funny stories and he loved to show off his own grandchildren in the ever growing collection of photos that he had tucked into his wallet. We missed him so much when he moved to Maureen's, but we knew he was getting excellent care and lots of TLC from his entire his family. It was our pleasure to have known and loved this wonderful man. He will be missed but will always have a place in our hearts.
With love from,
Jennifer, Ron, Kate, Jack & Timothy Warren

Our family has taken quite a hit in the last six weeks, and in reflection we have to think of how lucky we have been to have had all six of our uncles and Aunt Mary, adn the wonderful spouses they picked. The following generation has been a good one to grow up in due in large part to their kindness and support. Uncle Bob taught me how to caddy and was always there to lend encouragement. I'm grateful for his 90 years, but I could have used a few more.

Dearest Uncle Jim,Bobby and Margie, Maureen and Mike and all my Cousins:
My heartfelt condolences for such a tremendous loss of your brother, father and grandfather. Heaven's Gate has taken a pounding in the last 2 months and we The McGuinnessesare mourning the tremendous absence on earth.
Many happy memories come forth of the wonderful trips to Medford Lakes, seeing the blue indian, having cook-outs,swimming in the lake and running with Shep the dog. I will never forget the generosity of my Aunt Edie and Uncle Rob. You will always stay in my heart.
Love
Mary Ann and Randy

I remember when I was in college, Uncle Bob would periodically give me 100 or more practice balls. Over time, the quality of the balls seemed to improve dramatically. Finally, I accused him of finding these "lost" balls before they stopped rolling.
I also remember how accurately he could hit a ball with his Doug Sanders-like swing. And I remember how he whooped me a few times when I was in school and thought no one could.
