Mom, I can't believe that 4 years have past since you left us! I don't think a day goes by that I don't think about you or Daddy. You are still a part of my life because I have all the great memories right here in my heart. I know in my heart that you are in a better place because you were suffering so much. Please know that I love you and miss you so very much!!!! Happy Birthday Mom! I was just sitting here at my computer thinking about the "good old days" with you and Daddy. I just happen to look up at the wall and there in front of me was an old picture from Feb."73" ...it was you blowing out your candles on your birthday cake, and Daddy sitting right next to you with a big smile on his face. As I sat here looking at this picture...it was like you were both looking right back at me...and saying everything is alright...we can see you...don't worry we are at peace now...we are "Home" with Jesus. Dear Mommy My Best Friend, It is going to be one year since you left us to go ?Home? with Jesus. I thought as time passed it would start to get easier....but it is still so hard to really believe that you are gone. I miss you with all my heart...and all the things we did together. I miss seeing your face...hearing your voice ..being able to hug you or even give you a kiss. I miss all the times we spent together ...at the shore laughing...all the family holiday gatherings...and you always being there for me to help me out with everything! There are so many things happening now with Nicole getting her teaching job...getting engaged and planning for her wedding...and Anthony getting engaged that I wish that you could be here to share all the joy with us. I want so much to tell you all the wonderful things.... but I don?t have you here to share them with you. I know you tried so hard to hang on to see all these things....but God had a different plan for you. I pray everyday that you are up in heaven and out of all the terrible pain and suffering that you had to go through here on earth. I thought as time passed it would start to get a little easier...but as the holidays approach it is so hard. I miss all the things we did together to get ready for
Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. I miss hearing your voice each day when I would check in on you...or just being able to call you and tell you something that happened. I miss coming over to visit you and being your "Meals On Wheels". I know I will make it through all of this but there is a part of my heart that will always have a big hole in it and never heal. Most Holy God I pray this prayer this November 2nd All Souls Day, I miss my family and friends who touched my life and who have fallen asleep. Embrace them, as You promised You would. I think of all those who have brightened and warmed others, and Your world. They are the wise souls who shine in Your presence. You purified them through suffering and they brighten the heavens today. They share the fuller life which Jesus won for us. Jesus embraces them in the fullness of time. Their hearts must be exploding with the fullness of Your love. I await the day I rejoice with them and know You in the intimate, personal way they do. Uncle Ed, Debbie & Family....
If I were to have stood up in church on Friday, this is what I would have said. My Aunt was a very special lady to me. She absolutely loved "unconditionally". Most people don't know what that is. She always spoke without offending and listened without defending. Your secrets were kept secret with her. Both she and you Uncle Ed made me feel like I was somebody very special. Whenever I would come home you always made time for me. You made sure that we got together. I loved being in Wildwood with both of you. I know it will be very lonely for all of you without her. Life goes on so we must all remember that Earth is not our final home; we were created for something much better. May His love continue to surround you. God Bless.

My grandmother was a very special person to me. Some of the best memories I had growing up were made with her. Our times spent down the shore, and at holidays will never be forgotten. She taught me so much about life: how important family is, how to share and give, and how important it is to laugh and enjoy life. Though she is no longer with us, she will always live on in the lives of those she has touched. I pray that one day I will have grandchildren of my own and that I can make as wonderful an impact on their lives as Mom Mom has made on mine.
