I am a Retired vice pres of springfield ford, springfield, pa. I first met Dick when I was the service mgr at springfield ford. I soon learned what fine man he was. He was highly qualified for his work, always had a smile, and yes. usually a good joke to tell. Ford was abetter company because of him and his skills. I have many fond memories of him that I shall never forget...It was truly a pleasure to be with him.. May God Bless you all. Try to remember the good times!!! Best Regards, Paul Bibb,Sr.

To Dicks family,
I had the pleasure to work with Dick for many years as a Ford Technician.
He was the best... Whenever I had a problem, he was a phone call away.
He was the bridge between the tech and the engineer.
I asked a lot of questions and he would always find the answer.
A real "carguy" that is sorely missed at Ford Motor Company.
He was a real friend too. He traveled over the river a few times to have lunch with me and we kept in touch by email.
I'm proud to say I knew him... He made my life better.

Dear Marcy and family,
Gloria and I were stunned to hear of Dick's passing thanks Joe for finding my e_mail address in your father's computer files.
As you know, Dick and I worked together for years at both Bendix and Ford. During that time I came to consider him to be my best friend. Later our career paths separated and geography helped keep us physically apart, but we stayed in touch sporadically.
Our last exchange of notes was in July. I reminisced with him about the summer long ago during which Gloria and I with our two young sons shared a cottage on Keuka Lake with Dick, Marcy, and a young Joe and Steve. The time we spent together was possibly the very best, most relaxing vacation I have ever enjoyed. I can still picture Dick, the master of the charcoal grill, cooking up chicken and pork chops while the other adults enjoyed some local wine country product and the boys played near the beach.
Dick never mentioned health problems to me in recent years and so his passing came as a surprise. I will forever treasure our friendship and will miss him, his wise counsel and his wonderful sense of humor.
With deepest sympathy for your loss,
Bill Marlett
