Dear Tony and family,
I am deeply sorry for your recent loss. We sometimes wonder why God would take our loved one away from us. Find comfort in knowing that he needed her there with him and that she will be waiting there for all of us, when our time comes. Again, I am very sorry!

I had the privledge and honor of teaching with Mary Ann at the Lilley School for many years. She was my colleague, my mentor and my dear friend. Most of the special events in my life had Mary Ann a part of them in some way. I will miss her and I too loved her. Mary Ann taught us how to love children- she gave her heart and soul to the children of Gloucester Township, and to all she encountered. I will always be grateful for the times we shared and hope to continue her fine legacy of loving. I'm sure she's sitting with the Blessed Mother now, smiling at us all.

I 'll never forget when Mary Ann had the kids up the Mountains for the summer. My friends and I would be up there as well and she would be cooking for all of us and keeping everyone busy. She had a great attitude and was a hard worker. We will miss her at the family reunions etc. Pat

Tony & Family,
We would like to express our deepest sympathy. This is such a difficult time for all of you, but as long as your family is there to support each other you will remain strong. Joe lost his mom six years ago and I lost my mom on August 12th of this year. It is very painful for those left here on earth but the ones who took care of us the most will now have God to take care of them. We will keep you all in our prayers. We know exactly what your going through. Stay strong!

Uncle John,Chrissy, Buddy, Mike and Tony,
Aunt Mair will surely be missed by all. She brought love and happiness to everyone's life. There wasn't a family event that she missed. She will always be remembered for the wonderful music at the family Christmas parties; especially the 12 days of Christmas.
I wanted to commend all of you for a job well done in caring for your wife/mother during her illness. You were dedicated to her as much as she was to you!!!! Great job and after all your work do you want to be nurses yet?

Dear John, Chrissy, Buddy, Michael and Tony. Words can't express my sadness when Sheila called and told me that Mary Ann had passed. It brought back so many memories like Buddy and the Riggs girls in John and my wedding and the many trays of slighty burnt cookies Mary Ann and the kids made for Daddybecause he liked everything well done. She had the patience of a saint. I also remember how you were there for Mom, Sheila and me when we needed you. You are all in my prayers. Mary Ann doen't need them she's in heaven keeping Daddy and Johnny in line. Love, Millie

Mrs. Petroski was my 4th grade teacher at Erial Elementary. She was a kind woman. I don't remember much from my early years of school, but I what I do remember from 4th grade was our play on the American Indians. Also, each morning, we would have to take an encyclopedia and look up an entry and write about it.
I am a teacher now, and I know how much goes into the job. Thank you for helping to make me the person I am today.

Coach, Chrissy, Buddy, Michael, and Tony: Please accept my deepest condolances in this very sad time. Mom will always be remembered as a kind, caring, and compassionate person. I will also remember her fondly for keeping me out of coach's doghouse by being the voice of reason during those younger years. I am sure that Big Jim was waiting for her at the gates to bring her home. Godspeed Maryanne! Thank you for being part of our lives. God Bless the Petroski family. Tommy Sullivan

Dear John, kids and grandkids, sisters, brothers and Mom!
Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of MaryAnn - she is one that cannot ever be replaced.
Such a delightful, trusting person... I'm sure that she is now walking the streets of Heaven with Jim, beating his ear about the windmills on the beachfront.
My love to you all, and my prayers are with her.

Dear Mr. Petroski, Buddy and family,... I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your beloved wife and mother. I was just sitting with her and talking, laughing at the reception for Marie McGuiness. Mary Ann always brought joy to those around her, and was in very good spirits that day, despite the circumstances...I will always remember her singing at the Saturday evening "folk mass" when I was young. God bless and comfort you all at this time.
