Eenie was my mother-in-law and dear friend. She was the mother everyone wanted to have, and her children and grandchildren and great grandchild seemed to know how fortunate they were to have her in their lives --- as did those of us who she chose to mother. The last time I saw Eenie we went to lunch together; she dressed up for the occasion and was, as usual, the perfect person with whom to enjoy a meal and leisurely and lively conversation. Even though I was no longer married to her wonderful son Bill, she and I remained close and she traveled to Wisconsin with Bill to see one of her grandsons graduate from high school in 2003. I know that her husband Bill is welcoming her with open arms at heaven's gates. The rest of us who are still "earthbound" will miss her and remember her with tears and laughter; she was one of the best!
