well Mom, I was able to make it thru the first work week since you crossed over to the other side. I didnt think I could do it, but I did. I gotts tell you it would have been a lot harder without Christine and Terita though.
You'll be happy to know that since your passing, Christine and I have grown closer together than I ever thought possible. I've spent the last 4 weeks wondering if that was your last act of love to us before you left. In addition to Dave,I now realize just how important my kid sister is in my life. I always wanted to have the same relationship with Christine that I have had with Dave but always thought it was impossible because she wasnt my twin. You showed me just how untrue that was. Thank you.
The hurt is still there, but we will come out of this stronger than before.
I love you

This is what I wanted to say at my moms memorial service yesterday but I just couldnt do it......
Since the angels took our mother home: Her laughter no longer brightens our days... But we have our memories to hold on to. We lost our best friend... But we thank God for the days we had with her. We cry tears of sorrow... But we also remember the good times and laugh. We wonder how we will ever go on.... But she gave us what we need to make it. We miss the sight of her face.. But we know we'll be together again..
You will always be in our minds and in our hearts. You brought us life in this world, you played an important part. Now you have passed and gone to prepare the way for us, your kids, who will meet you again someday.
If Roses grow in Heaven
Lord, please pick a bunch for me
Place them in my mothers arms
and tell her they?re from me
Tell her I love her and miss her
and when she turns to smile
place a kiss on her cheek
and hold her for awhile
Because remembering her is easy
I do it every day
but there?s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.

On behalf of Dave, Christine and myself, I'd like to thank everyone who came out to my mother's memorial service today. It was very humbling to see not only how many friends my mom had, but how many good friends the 3 of us have.
Please continue to sign the guestbook until the funeral home takes it down. I will be moving the posts to another server and combining it with the website my sister is creating in a couple of weeks

Dave, Michael and Christine, let me first offer my condolences for your loss. Unfortunately I have to work on Saturday and will be unable to attend, though I really wanted to be there for you guys. The most indelible memory I have of your mom, was of her being an ardent Mets fan. I remember her actually wearing a Mets hat I think, and I remember giving her a bit of a hard time for being one. Though of course I respected her for it as well. God bless her.
Love, Glenn

"but I'm sure your Mom had a big old smile when Clemens got rocked for six runs in the first inning of this years all-star game "
Believe it or not Glenn, she was in fact watching the All-Star game!! Her last two weeks were spent in bed in front of the TV watching baseball at night and making wisecracks about her husband to anyone who would listen. To say she enjoyed this year's All Star game would be the understatement of the year

Floss you may be gone but you will not be forgotten. When we all get together for Birthdays and the Holidays someone will probably say "Do you remember when Floss did this or Floss would have really enjoyed this". You were very lucky to have three wonderful children and a great daughter-in-law who were with you through all your rough times and there at the very end. We will remember all the goods times we all had together. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Hey Mike, I just read that story about going to the Mets/Yankees game and I had to share this insight. I wish I could have been there to see her heckle the rocket, but I'm sure your Mom had a big old smile when Clemens got rocked for six runs in the first inning of this years all-star game at home in front of family and friends in Houston. Karma's a bitch ain't it Clemens? Never bet against God hearing the heartfelt prayer of a terminally ill Mets fan! God, she must have loved it!

Just a word of thanks for all the great stories and memories that so many of you had about my mom. Being the daughter, I never really shared the sports with her, but of course we used to hit the Cherry Hill Mall on Saturdays and go shopping for her, for me and for my son Steven, then we always had to go out to eat. I miss you mom and with time it may get easier, but I wish you were here with us now. Love You Always

I have to add this story and for those of you who knew my mom will get this....I had my son at a young age, 20 to be exact and my mother was not thrilled with the idea for 2 reasons, 1st she was so vain about her age, 2nd is that I had Steven and I was not married. She worked at the Windsor Diner at the time and had not told a soul there that her daughter was pregnant. So, one day when Steven was about a month old, I packed him up, diaper bag and all and we went to the diner to have breakfast. We walked in and as the hostess was seating us, I said kinda loud, "look Steven, theres Mom-Mom Floss"...well the look on my mothers face said it all. A look I will never forget. After that, she was the proud Mom-Mom though, and spoiled my son.

Ok...story time, per request of Michael Reeve.
Many years ago, probably about 18 or so, I was hanging out with Dave and he decided to call it an early night. Well, I wasn't quite ready for bed or to end my night, so I decided to have a little fun. As Dave was resting his head on his pillow at 1am, I was hard at work outside his house creating havoc. Down the road the township was doing some work on the streets and I decided it would be a great idea to take the equipment they had and make a construction zone out of Daves house. So I grabbed orange cones, blinking lights, all sorts of tape to section off certain areas, and anything else I could get my hands on. His parents were out drinking for the evening, so this would have been a nice surprise for them when they came home. As the story goes...They arrived at their house all banged up from a night on the town and woke Dave up asking him questions about the construction work being done on their front steps, their lawn, asking why their yard is sectioned off...etc etc..
Anyway...Dave had to get up and move all the equipment off his lawn and respond to questions about what the construction workers were doing to their house.
I think Dave tried to get me back that same morning, but my neighbors dog wouldnt stop barking and halted Daves plans for revenge.

LOL...That is awesome Mike. I still remember Dave telling me how confused Richard and your mom were when they came home that evening to see the entire front lawn taken over by construction equipment, with cones, blinking lights, and "Caution" tape. It's nice to know that I was able to put a smile on her face when you told her that. Again.....sorry for your loss...my prayers are with your entire family.

The Reeves,
I would like to extend my condolensces to the entire Reeve family. I lived around the corner from Mrs Reeve for about 10 years. No doubt about it....the biggest Mets fan in the world. I never understood why she liked the Mets, but I respected her passion and loyalty for the team. It's not everyday you see that type of loyalty. She is in Gods hands now.... I am sure she will be missed by many.

Another hysterical story.
As most of you know, my mom was and is the biggest Mets fan in South Jersey. She is also a very loud baseball fan who is nort afdraid to scream at the games. Right after she finished her first round of chemotherapy back in 2001 and since I am pretty decent Yankee fan, Dave and I decided it would be a really nice treat to take her a Mets/Yankees Subway Series game at Yankee Stadium. It was hot sunday afternoon and we sat in bleacher seats in left field near the bullpens. This was after the whole Roger Clemen fiasco when he beaned Mike Piazza with a fast ball right upside his head, causing him to leave the game. Roger Might have forgotten about the whole thing, but no the majority of NY Met fans and especially not MY MOM!! No sir, she sat there quietly with her Mets jersey on quietly stalking her prey. The second she saw Clemens walk into the bullpen which were well within earshot of the stanbdsand beofre my brother Dave could put his hand over her mouth, she let loose with a tirade aimed at the The Rocket, most of which I can not print here that would make a truck driver blush. She hates Roger Clemens for hitting Piazza She called him every stinkin name in the book and dared him to throw a fast ball at her head!!! When he wouldnt, she called him a candy ass I quietly said Mom, it would knock your chemo wig off if he did that. She chuckled a little but kept yelling at him. By this time, the 40 or 50 Yankee fans around us are starting to get annoyed and I'm having nightmares about the popssibilty of my mother with termnial cqancer getting into a brawl at Yankee Stadium. I am nervously laughuing and making sure everyone sees that I am wearing a Derek Jeter Yankees shit and hat hahaha Thankfully, security came ovewr and told my mom top shut up or leave. I only say thanlkfully, because they let us stay and watch the game. LOLOL
That was MY MOM!! Everyone who ever met her knew how much she loved those New York Mets!!

Quick story about how cool my mom was! About 15-20 years ago, I and a few girls were hanging out in Denny's after a long night of partying. My band midnighthero had just played the Galaxy in Somerdale NJ that night so we were all pretty bombed. About 10 minutes after our food arrives, I hear this commotion at the door and see this group of old people trying to get a seat and heading our way. Yup, you guessed it. It was my mother, stepfather and a bunch of their friends. I was like "OH NO...not here". I'm tryiung to score with one or both of these girls and here comes my MOTHER!!!!! WTF??. Anyways, they had apparently spent the night at a local Country Western joint and were feeling no pain themselves. My mom cowboy hat and all then proceeds to take over the dining room area and pull a table with 4 chairs up to ours!! She's ordering the waitresses around and grabbing extra menus etc, all the while singing "Take this job and SHove it by Johnny Paycheck really really loud!!".
I looked at her like "mom, what the hell are you doing?". "Having breakfast with my son and his girlfriends" was her answer. The girls that were with me couldnt stop giggling the whole time. After it was over, they kept remarking how cool my mom was. I told them that my mom was beyond cool! At first I was mortified, but then I calmed down and realized just how lucky I was to have this lady as a mother. God Bless you mommy! I'll miss you forever.
What I'll miss the most is your laughter. The long uncontrollable, crying, peeing your pants, laughter you were so easily succecptiple too whenever Dave told one of his stupid jokes.
You were the only adult to get Dave's sick twisted sense of humor. I can still hear your laugh. I will hear it for the rest of my life until we meet again
