My Precious Father,
I did not know we were saying goodbye for the last time on June 13th when I told you I needed to
leave for a couple days but promised to be back very soon. I know now, that you did know it was our last goodbye. You had never held my checks so firmly or tightly or looked in my eyes so closely and deeply as you did that day when
you told me you loved me and always had. It seemed so hard for you to let go of me. It was so different
from all the other times you had said it. I couldn't stop thinking about your firm hold and loving
eyes the entire time I was gone. There was just something so very special about it. More than I knew at the time. For that memory, I am very thankful. I wish with all my heart that I could have seen you
one more time, but I guess it was not meant to be. Be assured, I always knew that you loved me. You are my hero - my father.
Your Loving Daughter,
Nancy

Dear 'Mom#2' and 'My Only Sister',What wonderful memories I have of the many weekends I spent with all of you. We camped, the best place being Cherrystone, I had my nosebleeds and sprained ankles to add to the experience, and all the while you and Dad put up with me and gave me lots of TLC, just as though I really was a member of the family. The same was true at your home.
It takes a great man to be a Dad to so many, and that's what he was. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed!! Whenever I can be a shoulder to cry on or you need help in any way, please remember I'm here. Our love & prayers are with you.

To my extended family,
There are many good memories of "Pop", too many to share in 1000 characters.
He always had a kid on his lap in "his chair", watching the Eagles, or, on his lap on the tractor. He treated us as family, and made sure we never left without veggies and blueberries! "You must take these home!", he would say. I'll also never forget Taylor taking a "leap of faith" off the back porch hoping he would catch her, and he did! She adored him, as did Bobby and I! We sit together and say a prayer each night before bed for him and all of you. He will be missed!
May he be playing the slots up there with my Mom and Dad!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, and whatever, whenever, I'm here!
My bud, Patty, my heart is with you every moment of every day! "Right HERE!".
"Mom Veto", plan on seeing and hearing from me often! If you need anything, I am only a phone call away.
Love and email hugs to all of you,
Terri Daughter #?, Bobby, Taylor, and Champ

Dear Mrs. Veto: We are so sorry to hear about Alex. What a wonderful man your husband was! We can still remember all of the years he would get on his tractor and come down to plow our garden. When we offered him money for it, he would never take it and always said,"what are neighbors for, anyway?" We will surely miss him, as I know you will, and our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. If there is ANYTHING we can do for you, please let us know. Your neighbors, Tom and Tanya
