No one will ever really know the tremendous loss or how much I loved my brother Cort. All of the friends there in his honor is the true testament to how much he was loved by all, and how he'll be missed by "all his brothers."

Cort: "Heyyyyyy guys Merry Christmas! Can I offer yous a soda?"
Jes & Adam: "No, thanks"
Cort: "Awww..come on, how bout a cookie then?"
That was Cort, always offering everything he had to the people he cared about. I am truly blessed to have known and loved him. I can not express how sorry I am for his family and friends, especially you Kim, Zack, and Serena. Watching the way he looked at each of you, it was obvious how deeply he cared and loved you. We are here for you whenever you need us for whatever you need us for but you already know that!
Love you so much.

Kim,
May God provide you the strength and courage to find the peace you need at this time.
Take each day, one at a time, and don't hesitate to cry. Although you will not ever forget your loss, please know that with faith, there will be easier days in the road ahead.
It is wonderful to see that there are so many friends and relatives here for you. I knew Cort in his gradeschool days more than as an adult, but as Zach is his witness, he had grown to be a loving, dedicated, and loyal father. The children were truly blessed for those happy memories with Cort.
Our prayers are with you,Zack and Serena. If ever we can help, please call.
God Bless you.

If it had a motor
and wheels or a
rudder
He could drive it
If anyone was in
need of help
He would always help you
He was generous to a fault
A beautiful face and
smile that would never
let you down
A heart of gold
He gave everyone
who knew him
and loved him

Kim,
One of the first signs of Spring is to hear Cort's car rumble down our street. I looked forward to that every year. The defining sign of Spring is when the guys dust off their Harleys for that first official ride of the season. Whenever I hear a bike go by, I look to see which old friend it might be - This year will be different. It's okay to lean on your friends, that's what we are here for.
I pray for God to give you strength and may God hold Zach and Serena in the palm of His hands to guide and protect them through the tough days ahead.
Love always and deepest sympathy,
Fran Pollander

Dear Kim & children and Shirley,Paul and Steve, We are deeply saddened by the passing of Cort. He was one of the nicest boys we had the pleasure of knowing and watching him grow up to be a fine young man. He was always polite and never forgot to speak when he saw any one of us. It was a pleasure seeing him walk down the isle with you Kim on your wedding day. Cort will always be remembered by us. Our hearts and prayers go to all of you.God is by your side and so is Cort. Our hearts are truly breaking. We are all so sorry for your tremendous loss.
So many memories that will never be forgotten..Cort racing underwater in the pool..game night and how Cort hated when the girls were winning : .. Cort's stories about sledding on the hood of the VW bug and all his other assorted stories that kept us entertained..breakfast at the diner before going to Dover..Cort's excitement on the way to Dover :
now Cort has a front row seat for every race and he will never be late
He will be sadly missed but never forgotten..with each precious memory a part of Cort lives on.
Kim,
we are a phone call away..if you need us we will be there for you.

IF ONLY I KNEW
IF ONLY I KNEW I WOULD'VE BEEN THERE
WE SHARED A LIFETIME THAT NO ONE COULD COMPARE
WE HAD BEEN FRIENDS SINCE WE WERE FIVE, WE HAD LOTS OF SECRETS THAT WE NEVER TOLD AND NOW THE SECRET HANDSHAKE AND WHISTLE IS GONE
IF ONLY I KNEW I WOULD'VE PREPARED SO THAT I COULD HAVE STOPPED WHAT I DIDN'T KNOW
I THOUGHT THAT WE HAD BEEN THROUGH IT ALL
BUT NOW I HAVE TO TEAR A PAGE OUT FOR SOMETHING IS MISSING WITHOUT A DOUBT
LIFE IS TOO SHORT, AND THIS WE KNOW YOU WERE MY BEST FRIEND AS EVERYONE KNOWS
WE WILL MEET AGAIN AND WHEN WE DO DON'T WORRY BUDDY I WILL WHISTLE FOR YOU.
IF ONLY I KNEW, IF ONLY I KNEW
YOUR BEST FRIEND

Kim and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I will miss waving to Cort outside washing the cars and riding the dirt bikes around back with his son. Cort told me he would help me hang a flag on my huge pole out back if my brother Andrew didn't. He said he almost stole my pole before I bought the house and was glad he didn't when he found out that Andrew's sister bought it. I will be sure to have a flag hung this summer in his memory.
May you find the strength to get through.
