Mary and I started work at the post office the same year and had many occasions to work together. Over the years we had great fun and lots of Very Interesting conversations from chinese astrology to samurai warriors to mary's stuffed vulture collection! More recently when I went back to tap dancing school I would bug Mary to go with me and she would always say 'oh, I cant dance' and then would break out into a little soft shoe! We would both laugh. Mary was great! A very interesting person, very Smart, always positive and Lots of fun to be around. I will always remember Mary laughing and dancing down the hall..

The very first time I met Mrs. Minder, she welcomed me into her home and treated me with respect. As I grew closer to the Minder family, I viewed her as my second mother. It hurts me now to even be writing this, but I feel as though I owe it to her, to let her know that I loved her as my own. Sara, Drew, Matt, and Nicole, you know I love you all, and I am truly sorry and here for you always.

I was always hearing about Mary thru my daughter Roseann, who went to school with and is good friends with Sara. I did finally get the opportunity to meet that special lady, and I felt like I'd known her for years. I'm so sorry for your loss, but she'll never be gone because she'll always be in your heart heart and memories. Another of God's guardian angels watching over you.

My first memory of Mary goes back to 4th grade at Oak Valley Elementary School. She had always attended Catholic schools where the boys and girls were seperated and was nervous about being in a class with boys. Before the year was over we became friends and remained so for over 40 years. Since the 4th grade there are many warm memories of Mary and I thank God for having known her. My sympathies to her children, Drew, Sarah and Mathew. God bless you all.

She will always be Maryruth, and I will always be Barbara Jean. That's the way it is when you are cousins. She had a personality bigger than life- pretty AND smart. We weren't in touch much after high school, except through family connections. But when I saw her this summer and it had been nearly 14 years I felt as if it were 1964, and we were kids again, headed over to the lake in Oak Valley.
Here's to you, Maryruth.

Mary's left us way too soon, and there's no way to not feel an emptiness. I hadn't seen much of her in the past 20 years, but she, like the rest of her wonderful family members, exudes a compassion and vitality for life that leaves permanent footprints in your heart and soul.
