Dear Ellen & Family. My name is Kate and I was a co-worker of Jim's about 10 years ago. Jim was such a kind man with a contagious laugh and piercing blue eyes. He always had a story to tell and a laugh to follow. I will always remember Jim and am thankful for the privilege to have known him. May your many good memories of Jim help you at this difficult time.

Jim,You were like a Father to me.I remember you picking me + Bob up from school on rainy days.I remember you sitting under the apple tree out back.I remember your funny sayings you would say to me and Bob.I remember when you would say "That's a vacation job" and I would tell Ellen "I'll do that".It was my pleasure just to spend the time with you.The 34 years I knew you was not long enough.Even though there are hundreds of miles between us,I think of you and Ellen everyday. And as I sit here writing this,I'm looking out the window reflecting on better days gone by,I can still see everybody across the street. But as the circle of life comes around full swing,God has decided to take you to heaven. And one day I know I will see you again.I hope you know how much I Love You.Until the next time we meet ,I will still think of you everyday and you will always be in my heart. And so today I must bid you farewell from this Earth,
Goodbye Dad,
Love You Forever...
Your Son,
Mike McClain

Uncle Jim was the Uncle I grew up next door to. He was the Uncle I knew best. Our two families, living next door to each other are really like one family in 2 houses divided by a swinging gate. We share so many memories and our families are always there for each other. We feel such sadness for our loss and even greater sadness for Aunt Ellen and the kids. We regret that we can't be there with you all right now, as Air Force obligations are keeping us here in IL. You all are in our hearts, and prayers. We love you and miss you all!....We love you Uncle Jim and we will miss you! God bless you all! Love, Lisa, Tim, Cadiann, Kimberly and Keleigh XO

THE MEMORY I WANT TO KEEP IS SEEING JIM IN THE YARD, SITTING IN HIS LAWN CHAIR UNDER THE TREE. FOR OVER 25 YEARS HE WAS A GOOD NEIGHBOR AND FRIEND AND WE WILL ALL MISS HIM. HE IS AMONG FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES AND THOUGH WE ARE SAD, THEY ARE HAPPY TO HAVE THEIR FRIEND WITH THEM AND HE IS HAPPY.
