Tim was an honest, caring, hard working man who was always there for his family. He was always there to give me pre-game pep talks and was always there for my games, even though I wasn't the best player on the team. He meant a lot to me and it's going to be very hard to get on without him. The thing that is going to help me cope is recalling the memories we shared. He not only left me the memories but also the qualities that made him such a great person. He was a fighter untill the very end and I admire that. So dad I will miss and treasure your memory forever.>>>

I met Mary a couple of years ago through a mutual friend. It was then that we realized that our daughters were good friends in school. Our friendship has turned into such a close bond that I often refer to her as "the sister I should have had". I wish I had more time to really get to know Tim. The one thing I do know is that he was a terrific dad. He and Mary had the kind of relationship that most people only dream of. My thoughts and prayers are with you all now and always.

I first met Tim in 1997 when Kate played basketball for me. Kate arrived with her arms behind her back and her head down; she was extremely shy. For some reason, I immediately took to her. Tim and Mary were very nice, kind people. He'd always have something funny to say.
Two years later, Kate made our travel soccer team. I was thrilled to be reunited with the Schannauers. I would later select Kelsey for my basketball team, mostly because I thought the world of the family. Over the last several years, we spent quite a bit of time together. There were practices, games, and tournaments.
I remember the Cape May tournament two years ago when Tim and I wound up hanging out until about 4:30 AM. Yes, I'll admit we had a beer or two. We talked at length that night about soccer, work, and life. I learned that we shared a deep love of our families. Tim was never afraid to admit how much he loved his kids and his wife, Mary. He had indeed found the secret to happiness: family.
I?ll cope by recalling the better times like Tim's hilarious "fire in the hole" stories. Luckily, I still have the privilege of coaching Kate, one of my favorite people in the world. Kate has been devastated by Tim?s illness and seeing her suffer has been very difficult. My prayers go out to Mary, Kate, Kelsey, Timmy, the Schannauers, and the McGuires. I pray that the treasure chest of memories will somehow ease some of the pain of Tim?s loss. We will all miss Tim very much, a fun, kind, and good family man.

I will truly miss Tim.
He was a great person who I had the pleasure of knowing for the past 8 years, he always made me laugh even on the worst of days by saying something silly or throwing his pen when he was upset.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I must start off by saying I am truly sorry for the passing of our good buddy ?Timmy?
My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Schannauer family and the many friends that are involved with this tragic loss.
I have spent over 10 years working with Tim; they are missed and will not be forgotten, nor will the Schannauer Family. I can tell you all that Tim and I ?locked horns? on many occasions when we were stressed over the freight volumes, we really went at it, but we managed to get the job done; we had fun! We also ?high fived? together when we pulled off the impossible, we did that on many occasions as well, again, we had fun...the point is Tim always had fun. I am surely going to miss those times.
In closing I would like to say to Mary, Katelyn, Kelsey, Timmy Jr and the rest of the family members and friends?.you all did a wonderful job in helping Tim over these past twelve months, my hat is off to you all?.additionally, Mary, words can not describe how good you are!
With Love
Joseph B. Atkinson III & Family
