I did not know Bill, but learned of his death through Dick Beverlin, who is the founder of the Adrenocortical Carcinoma support group. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Although I did not know Bill, I heard that he was a survivor. He will be a role model for those of us who are also struggling with this disease.

Dear Jeanne and Family: It is with deep regret that we learned of Bill's death. Like my dear wife Cecelia who joined God in heaven on 9/11/03, Bill fought this rare cancer and never lost faith. He rests in heaven. I know he and Cecelia both await us there. May God be with your family in this time of need.

As close as I am to my own Father, I was always proud to call you Dad!

Billy was a great and dear friend to both myself and my late husband, Dominic. Always full of encouragement, he downplayed his health problems while doing all he could to raise our spirits. And, boy could he jitterbug! I know we'll all miss him but it gives me great pleasure to think of him laughin' it up with Dom up in heaven!

Dad,
How do I begin to Thank you? Thank you for waking up everyday and making the decision to live, never complaining, never faltering, always fighting to the very end. Danny nicknamed you Superman - it was perfect, "Man of Steel". Relentless focus to stay alive for the love of Family. I do not know where you found the strength, but I am grateful. Grateful that you were able to meet the love of my life, marry me off, meet my children, and make 20 additional years of wonderful memories.
People always tell me that I look like you, I have heard this all my life and I always regarded this as a great compliment. let's face it, you scored with two incredible women in my Mother and Jeanne. But looks are only skin deep. A true honor will be to resemble Bill Kane the man --- strong, proud, defiant, modest - never a martyr as you struggled in silence, true to his family - true to his heritage, true to his beliefs, superman.
In you, I lost a Father and I lost a dear Friend. You are my Hero.
Love Always,
Kevin
