Obituary of Melvin Joseph Rutter
Melvin Joseph "Joe" Rutter, 73, of Williamstown, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Legacy
A loving and kind gentleman, Joe was devoted to his family. He shared an incredibly special bond with his sons. He also had a close relationship with his siblings, and trips to get Starbucks Frappuccino's will be missed by his baby brother. With his outgoing nature, Joe always had a nice word for others and made friends easily in his daily routines. He was always punctual and meticulous with his work. Joe was small in stature, but a man of great strength who overcame many traumatic injuries and never looked for pity. Even with these injuries, Joe was the first to lend a helping hand and make sure everyone's needs were met before his own.
Born in Woodbury, New Jersey, Joe was a 45 year resident of Haddon Township and recently moved to their new home in Williamstown. He was owner and operator of Kitchen Creations and retired in 2014. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War serving from 1966 to 1968 as a Boiler Tender on the USS Topeka.
Family
Beloved husband of 47 years to Diane J. (nee Davis); adoring father of Shawn (Anne) and Jason (Nicole); devoted grandfather of Alaina, Alexis, Angelina, Cooper and great-grandfather of Kaidence and Danny; dear brother of Shirley (Frank) Parisi, Harry "Bud" (Patricia) Rutter and Gary (Sharon) Rutter.
