Obituary of Lorraine Ann Giffear

Lorraine Ann Giffear, 73, a longtime resident of Deptford Twp., passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.   

Legacy

Lorraine was a Cardiac Care Registered Nurse and worked at Underwood Memorial Hospital.  After 30 years at Underwood, she transitioned into hospice care and worked for Heartland Hospice and retired after 7 years of service.

She LOVED cooking for family and friends, and always made birthday dinners for all of her family members.  Her salads were the best, but everything she cooked was with love and always appreciated. Lorraine truly enjoyed all of the time spent with her sister Rebecca going to Ocean City, Maryland,  where she enjoyed going to local restaurants and having fun with her sister.

Loving daughter of Rebecca Bratis & the late Harry; beloved mother of Lorrie Hawthorn & her husband Bill, Susan Giffear, Melissa Giffear & her fiancé Jay;  devoted grandmother of Brooke, Paige, Connor, Lyss, Brendan & Ryan; dear sister of Rebecca Preston (Jim), Sonny Jurman, Bobby Jurman, Marie McEvoy & the late Tommy Jurman.  Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.

Farewell Tribute

Visitation will be held at McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096 on Monday, December 23, 2019 from 9 am to 11 am.  Funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
