it still seems unreal to me that mr. p is no longer here. i can truly say that he was more of a father to me than my own dad ever was. everytime that i walked in the door he had a smile and a hug for me. he always asked how i was doing. he always made me feel as though he cared & that i was welcome in his home. he was such a kind & generous spirit. he loved his family more than anything in the world. and they love him more than words can say. a man of true character & class. a man who made life a pleasure. no man this wonderful should ever be taken away from anyone. i feel lucky to have known him for 15 years. he was the very definition of the 'perfect' husband, dad & pop-pop.
and to mrs. p, les, lis, lor, carina & jackson - i love you and think that you guys are doing great!

Just wanted to say my prayers are with you guys. I remember that beautiful smile shining on us on the field, how he loved coaching us girls and how he loved helping the Woodbury Heights Boys Club. I am sure he is smiling down on his family now and is very proud of the adults that they have become. He was loved by many and will be surely missed.

Just wanted to say that we thought John was such a wonderful, softspoken, man...He was my daughter's coach, friendly lovable merchant and we always thought of him as a friend...We were devastated to what happened to him in the last year, and wish that we would of kept in touch after the Heights days..We know that he is destined for new horizons and more service in heaven....I think God has lots in mind for him there..God speed John, you touched a lot of lives with your love and understanding, your way of talking to people..We will think of you often and fondly....Love, Rich and Lois

Uncle John: Thanks for everything. I am going to miss you. I will never forget the day you took me to my 1st Eagles games. For some "odd" reason when I was kid I loved the Raiders. I think it was the uniforms. It was 1979 and I was dressed in my Raiders gear and I arrived at your house in my "Raiders Uniform." Mom-mom made us some meatballs and we drove to the game in the "Bus." I remember standing up when "Raiders scored" and you jokingly pulling me back into my seat. I had a great time and I can still picture that moment 24 years later. The Eagles won 10-7 but it was a memory I will never forget--and thank God I am an Eagles fan today. Uncle John I will miss you and thanks again for all of the games and memories that we shared at the "lumber yard."
Love--TJ
