Grandpop:
My heart is broken in so many pieces right now. On one side, I am so happy that I was able to sit and hold your hand on Saturday, on the other hand, I am heartbroken that I wasn't there for you on Sunday. I can't believe that you are not going to be in my life anymore - who will offer to make me a boiled ham sandwich on white bread? Who will make me eat jelly donuts? I will treasure the memories I have in my heart forever. I love you and miss you so much. I only hope I can live to be as great a person as you were. Please keep us wrapped in your arms as you look down from heaven at us. Keep us in line!
Finally, I pray that you are there when Tracy has her baby, and that God blesses him/her with your beautiful baby blue eyes! Goodbye Grandpop and God Bless. I'm so blessed to have had you for the past 32 years.
Love, Sandi

Dad - You were and are the best guy that I have ever met. It has been a pleasure to be your son and having fun laughing at all the old times. Who could forget all the friday night dinners that we have experienced. You are and will remain one of the best. I am a lucky son to have such a great person to try to be like, you are one of the best.
From Maur: When I first met you I was 18. I remember how pleasant and soft spoken you were. We would sit and watch Lawrence Welk and Billy would have you laughing so much you couldn't breath...What will we do on Friday nights...Sat, Sun and always? Dad, as Bob Hope used to say, "Thanks for the Memories, your beautiful baby blues...
the way you wink... listening to you sing...Laughing at the Nutty Professor...watching Joseph cut your hair...your hand on Tracy's tummy to feel the baby move... watching you, Joe and Kevin talk about sports...getting to meet Jen...the way my mom called you Mr. Carr...I'll have the Fried Flounder, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese Ha Ha.. I have to watch my weight... sitting under the Strathmere Bridge wrapped in blankets and really enjoying it...Dippy's, Colonial,Christmas....Maureen and Joan make the best Macaroni and Cheese... letting me take care of you... Letting me make a fuss...Kissing you... loving to be near you just to fulfill my spirit... Your the Dad I lost and the Dad that loved me like his own daughter. It is an honor to be a part of your life and your family. Sweet Dreams and Thanks for the Memories.

Grandpop was very special. We never saw him without a smile on his face and we will never again look at mashed potatoes without thinking of him. Our two daughters Jennifer and Theresa were very lucky to have had a Great Grandfather for as long as they did. He always made us laugh with his stories and he will be missed but never ever forgotten. It was an honor to be there with him the day he went up to Heaven. Love, David, Annmarie, Jennifer & Theresa Cox

I have wonderful memories of you Grandpop. I remember when you pretended that you couldn't remember our names, and would call us by whatever boys names you could come up with at the time. I remember there always being something good to eat whenever we came over your house. I remember giving you Christmas gifts, and finding them under your bed months later still in the box, folded neatly with the tissue still intact. These are the things that will make me miss you the most. Love you always and forever, Monica
