To the Perry Family:I just brought myself to open this and finally express to you my condolences. Don and I met at Ballyhoos in the Grand. He was the waiter who trained me. It has never been the same there since he has been gone. I missed him terribly when he left and still do. I think of him all the time comparing notes in my head to him. Thinking how he would have hated something or found other things so funny or stupid. It was hard for me to comprehend his departure and found it diffuicult to express my feelings. I could not visit because I tried to keep thinking he was coming back. I did not know him long but came to like him very much for the short time I did. I work for the American Cancer Society also. Each year we have a Relay for Life to honor those who survive cancer & remember those who have lost their battle. I will remember Don for the rest of my life. There will be a luminary there each year for Don. He was a wonderful man and very well liked. I still have customers & co-workers speak of him with me. We remembered him at Halloween knowing the few of us would not be the only ones in costume if he were there.I keep a picture of him from the Xmas party with Tammy & Shawn & look at it everyday. Just wanted to let you know how I felt. Thank you & God Bless you all.

Dear perry Family,
Again I am sorry to hear about Donnie's death.Here are two poems I would like to send.
A True Friend
A true friend is someone who is there when you need someone to talk to or need advice.And a true friend is there to help you through the good,bad,and rough times.A true frind can make you laugh when you're sad or upset and is there to cheer you up.A true friend is there to hang out with.A true friend can always make time for you wether it is to talk about what is bothering you or just to hang out with you.And a true friend enjoys your company and your jokes,stories you tell.And that's what Donnie was.Love meg known as his little sister from the shore.I was the one who gave him the bears.

Dear Perry Family,
Here is the other poem.It's called Music since Donnie loved music.
Music
Music is enjoyable there are many people who like different kinds of music and that's ok not everyone has to like the same kinds of music.And we take music for grantee because some countries are not allowed to listen to music freely like we can.I feel sorry for those who are not allowed to listen to it at all.And that they have to find other things to enjoy themselves.And that's not fair everyone should have the same rights as everyone else.Love meg his sister from the shore plus I was the one who gave him the bears.

THE GATE
You may think I am gone
But really my life just began
I get a second chance
A fresh start
A new beginning
If you were here you would see
How happy I am
I have no pain
Just remember it was my time
We will be together
Just wait your time will come
And when it does I will be waiting
When you come to the gate
I will be waiting
But till then I love you

My deepest sympathy to the Perry Family. Although I only knew Don for the past few years I felt as I knew him for a lifetime. We met when I moved down to the Cape May area. We would get together watch movies and share stories of family and friends for hours at a time. Although I never met his family I feel as though I knew them because of Don's love and thoughts of them. Don will be missed.

I feel so blessed to have known such a wonderful person. Don was truly a great friend to me. One of the best friends I ever had. I remember riding in the car and we would put in the Sam Harris tape and sing those songs all the way to our destination. Some of my best and most fun times I had was with Don and Anna. I will always keep him in my heart and the Perry family in my prayers.

I will always remember growing up in Red Bank Estates with Don. Those innocent times are remembered fondly. I saw Don over the holidays at Jefferson. I told the nurses there that Don was a personal friend and that we grew up together and graduated high school together. They all wanted to know the same thing - how come I didn't look that good......The Quick family would like to express our sympathy to the entire Perry family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Perry family,
I'm so sorry for your loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Don't grieve for me,
for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared a laugh, a kiss;
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much;
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seems all to brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now,
He set me free...

dear jane and ressie, i have been thinking about one of don's favorite movies--it's a wonderful life. just like the character in the movie, don gave so much to others without really knowing how much he enriched our lives. in the movie jimmy stewart has the chance to see what the lives of others would have been like if he had never been born. i can't even imagine how much i would have missed if don were never born. thank you both for giving me such a beautiful friend.

Dear Perry family,
It is said that when we are all born onto this earth, we are a beautiful dream of GOD. Don lived the dream set forth for him with love, care, and family devotion. When our dream has been completed, GOD calls us home once again. Don fullfilled GOD's precious dream and returned to heaven. He was the the chosen one; the family member to be there first. He will look down with love as he watches how each of you fullfill your dreams untill GOD calls you home again as well. I will remember Don on the boardwalk and beach as he cheered for little Brandon in the Wildwood Baby parade. He took those little hands and walked him along the sand as if to pass on the beauty of nature to the next generation. A little bit of Don remains with everyone from old to young in your loving family. Our prayers are with all of you!
Love,
Linda & Bill
