Tom fought a brave battle and showed more strength during his illness that I could have ever imagined. Our family and friends surrounded him with love and caring. He passed away peacefully at home with his children at his side.
I would like to thank the Samaritan Hospice, my sisers Diane, Terry, Roni, Tom's sister Frannie and friends Pam Hegenberg and Gerry Miller for spending time with him.
There were countless meals, equipment, medicines, cards, and phone calls from the medical community, friends, family members and neighbors. Thank you Joe DiSanto for help with some household issues.
Tom will always be remembered for his humor, his genuine concern and love for others and his ability to turn a stranger into a friend.
The children and I will go forward remembering the good times.

We have so many good memories of Tom - from his funny stories to the songs he would sing, especially "For the 9 Months I Carried You, No Charge." He was a good man, and he kept his humor and good nature up until the end. We know that Linda, Ryan, & Jon will miss him terribly, but we hope they can find comfort in their many good memories of Tom and in knowing that he is now in a much better place. Rest in peace, Tom. I hope you knew how much you were loved!

Tom was our neighbor for the past 2 years. He was such a friendly, kind person, and we felt very lucky having such a good guy as our neighbor. There is a saying that the good die young......so true in this case. We will miss seeing him around the neighborhood and talking to him. Our prayers and deepest sympathies are with Linda, Ryan, and Jonathan during this very difficult time.

We are praying for all of you and asking for the PEACE OF CHRIST that transcends all understanding to be with everyone. May you find comfort and strength in Psalm 91:1,2 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. We were blessed to be able to spend some time with Tom at the BIRTHDAY BASH for Sue in August and we had a great time eating crabs with the family and Aunt Rita. Linda,Ryan and Jonathan we send our love and compassion to all of you and the family.

We will always remember Tom for his great personality. We remember Tom before we all got married the way he made up information. We remember his witty jokes-how we'd laugh! We remember Tom for driving us in our wedding. He was truly a great person. We are so glad that we saw him last summer and we can remember him the way he was always. He shall be missed by all. Love, Tim and Kim March 6, 2003

Tom was a kind and loving brother-in-law and we will miss him greatly. He died in peace and in dignity, at home, with his sons by his side. He fought the good fight and never once complained about his illness. Whenever he was asked, "how are you feeling?", his typical response was "I'm doing fine" and then would proceed to inquire about you. He appreciated everything that was done for him and never failed to let you know. Although we are very sad that he is gone, we all know that he is out of pain and in God's hands. I know he is up in heaven telling jokes and making up good stories for everyone to laugh at. Goodbye Tom - we love you!
