I was very saddened to hear of Mr. Bonner’s passing, he will surely be missed by everyone that knew him!
For the past 20+ years I have had the pleasure of seeing Harp nearly every week here at the Pitman Golf Course. He would always take the time to find me, shake my hand and spend a moment to talk golf, sports or to compliment the course or a staff member for a job well done. The mold was truly broken when he was made and I feel lucky to have known him.
My sincere condolences to Peggy and the entire Bonner family.

We met Jim & Peggy 12 1/2 years when we moved into Oak Valley. They were the first to welcome us to the neighborhood. Over those years Jim became not only my best friend but someone that we considered family to us. I will forever remember Jim coming out ( weather permitting) and walking over to the fence to see Muffin each day. The smile he smiled every time he saw her was something to be seen. Jim and I would meet at the fence or in his yard and we would talk golf, sports, etc. Those are the memories that will last forever. He was and will be forever a sweeter man you would ever know. Barb will miss seeing you and saying Hey Handsome to him. His reply back was Hey Captain. Jim would tell me stories of his life and his days in the service. He was a very proud man, loved his family and loved to see his grandchildren.
Jim, I will see you on the other side my friend but until then you will live in my heart forever more.
To the Bonner family, your father, husband will be forever missed but also forever loved. Barb, myself and Muffin too all send our sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy to loss of a fantastic man that we were honored to be a part of.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. I met Jim at the senior golf league at Pitman. My first day in the league I didn't know anybody and there was an opening in Jim's group, so the starter told me to put my cart back and ride with Jim! Well Jim didn't like that and grabbed his bag and went and got a walking cart! Here I am a 60 year old guy riding and an man in his mid 80's walking, I told him I would walk and he could ride, he said no and kept walking. During the round we finally got talking and found out my nephew TJ and his grandson Chris were good friends. After that we became friends and he got back in the cart! Two years later, after fifty years of playing golf, I got my first hole in one and Jim was my only witness and I'm glad it worked out that way! My condolences to the Bonner, Jim will be missed!

Jim,
Please accept our sincerest condolences on the loss of your father. He was a tremendous man and will be missed by all who knew him. He loved his family and was always the life of the party. I'll never forget the great times we had together at Pine Valley and Augusta. The look in his eyes when we got to the 1st tee at the Masters and he saw Jack Nicklaus will stay with me forever. He was Gloucester Catholics greatest fan, and certainly the chairman of my fan club!
May he rest in eternal peace! God bless Harp.
With Love,
Steve & Beverly Johnson
