Obituary of Tom P. Whyte
Whyte, "Tom" Thomas P. of Mickleton, NJ, formerly of Woodbury Heights, suddenly on Dec. 11, 2002 aged 61 years.
Tom graduated from Farmingdale College with a degree in Highway & Bridge Construction and was a respected General Superintendent in the bridge and heavy construction industry prior to his retirement in 1997. He was a long-term member of the South Jersey Corvette Club and the 10X Pistol Club, and enjoyed riding his Harley with friends. For many years, Tom was the Building Inspector for Woodbury Heights and had also been involved with the area Jaycees. Recently Tom had been pursuing his artistic talents in both painting and photography. He was also practicing Tai Chi and enjoyed time with his grandchildren.
Beloved husband of Alice Nee Sheehan. Devoted father of Robert of Mantua, Joseph of West Deptford and Christine Orcutt and her husband John of Woolwich Twp. Loving grandfather of Michael, Mary, Nathan & the late Nigel. Dear brother of Camilla Whyte of San Francisco, CA, Lawrence Mary Whyte of Long Island, NY, Terrence Val of Long Island, NY and the late Monica Whyte. Dear brother in law of Larry & Connie Sheehan and Jane & the late Col. Bill Sheehan.
