Obituary of Franklin B Matthews, Jr.

Franklin “Frank” B. Matthews, Jr. of Bellmawr, NJ passed away on February 11, 2020.

Frank was a Vietnam Veteran and proudly served our country in the Navy.  He worked as a machine mechanic for the Philadelphia Navy Yard.  He was also a driver for MacKay disposal for 10 years. Family & friends will remember him for being a true Philadelphia sports fan.  

Beloved husband of 50 years to Judy (Pappas) Matthews; loving father of Christine Greene (Roger), Tracy DeVito (Andrew) & April Virelli (Dominic). 

Brother of Charles, Sue, Linda, Dale, Carol, Barbara, Hazel, & Trudy.  Pre-deceased by Franklin B. Matthews, Sr & Doris Cornell, and is also survived by his Mother Hazel (Knowles) Matthews.

Grandfather of Roger Jr., Jonathan, Andrew Jr, Dana, Dominic, Salvatore and great grandfather of Kendra, Makayla, Lennon & Bryce.   

Services are private.  Frank’s final resting place will be at the Gloucester County Veteran’s Cemetery.
