Legacy
Mary was born in Hazelton, Pennsylvania to Miles and Florence (nee Kresge) Bressler. Growing up in the mining town Freeland, PA, Mary spent most of her younger years with her mother, grandmother and Aunt Arlene. Mary went on to attend Ursinus College, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Chemistry. After college, Mary began working as a Chemist for American Viscose Corporation, and that is where she met her husband, Mamerto. Mary and Mamerto married on September 2, 1950 and began growing their family.
Mary had a friendly personality and was caring towards others. She easily made friends wherever she went. In her downtime, Mary enjoyed reading, cooking and baking. Family and friends will miss her famous Pennsylvania Dutch Potato Filling. Mary also enjoyed spending time outdoors planting and growing flowers. Above all, family came first for Mary.
