I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR OF FATHER
WALKER'S PASSING. MY SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY. HE WAS A
PART OF MY LIFE BACK IN 1965-66 WHEN
HE WAS AT ST. AGNES PARISH, WHICH WAS IN BLACKWOOD TERRACE AT THE TIME. I WAS IN THE EIGHTH GRADE AND
ME AND A FEW OF MY CLASSMATES VOLUNTEERED TO WORK AT BINGO IN THE
SCHOOL HALL. AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR, FR. WALKER TOOK US TO
THE GOLF FARM IN VOORHEES TO PLAY

I know he is watching over all of us now-----though time and distance may have seperated many of us from his presence, he will always be in our hearts and very fond memories.
His days in Williamstown will never be forgotten....He was the best of the best! My family and I both feel priviledged to have known him.
Our prayers go out to all of you.

Our kindest thoughts and prayers go out to Jackie and John and the rest of Bob Walker's family as we all cope with the loss of someone who had so many friends and meant so much to so many people. We first met Bob Walker at St. Mary's Church in Williamstown in the early 1970's. A serious and most devout priest on the alter, he was constantly organizing with that sly glint in his eyes, getting the best out of all of us. A fun guy who drove around in a little red beetle...he organized the St. Mary's Follies at Christmas where we sang carols and tried to spread Christmas joy... At Williamstown High School, he accidently knocked over the on-stage Christmas tree and then laughingly blamed it on an elderly lady who was singing in our group,.... PreCana classes with Sr.Juan and Sr. MaryElla and their Mother Superior... parties with his "henchmen", the Glasses, Youngs, Reeds, Johnstons and trio of nuns, he got a pie in the face at one of those parties,.... having us clean up the bathrooms in the St. Mary's old school in August so the kids would have clean restrooms when school opened for them in September,.... painting the church interior,.... saying Mass on Christmas Eve on a kitchen table at a handicaped persons crowded home in Clayton,... 4th Degree at Haddon Hall in Atlantic City,.... hearing my confession over a pool table,.... Thanksgiving baskets for the poor..... We can go on and on..... Many great memories..... We consider it an honor just to have known Bob Walker but we thank God for the privledge of having him as our friend. We will miss you Bob, and your infectious laugh. We take comfort in knowing that there is lots of laughter in Heaven right now......

I first met Father Bob at Blessed Sacrament Church in Margate. Within a few masses that were given by him, I realized he wasn't just a preacher, he was a listener as well. He was always there to answer any of my questions. Unfortunately, since I'm almost fifteen, I haven't had as long with Father Bob as others have. But the time I did get to spend with him were ones full of love for God and laughter. Sometimes we all find it hard to pay attention and actually listen in church, but Father Bob evolved everyone and made what he was saying worth listening to. The few things I would say I miss about Father Bob the most are: his hugseverytime I would see him, being a little girl he would pick me up and give me a bear hug,his smileit would light up the room, his jokes and laughter, his loud but gentle voice, and most of all his ability to serve the Lord as he did! When Father Bob was alive he would make sure I was being good and watch over me. Now since he is "Home" he can watch over me always! I would like to thank Father Bob for everything he taught me and for understanding me. I love him for that! Rest in Peace to a wonderful teacher, listener, and friend! Always missed, but never forgotten!

Father Bob has been a special member of the Hildebrand Family for nearly 20 years. Over the years, we have shared many wonderful memories, laughter, as well as tears. He baptized our two daughters, Melissa and Jennifer, and offered them their First Holy Communion. Many times, he called our home to play "Santa", making certain they were being good. Our daughters adored Fr. Bob! He always had the time to play "just one more game" with them! The girls mourn the loss of Fr. Bob, their "Prayer Partner". We explained to them just how fortunate they are having Fr. Bob as their guardian angel, always looking over them now.
We have shared many fond memories including all the Eagles-Redskins Games. With us being Redskin fans, Fr. Bob has gotten the better of us lately! There will never be an Eagles-Redskins Game on without a chair reserved for him. We will miss his carefree laughter, radiant smile, his funny jokes, and charm. The love he had for life was infectious, always having a kind word or gesture for everyone around him. He was an inspiration to us all! We mourn the loss of a great friend but we are comforted knowing that he is in God's warm embrace.
Fr. Bob was a truly a man of God and we have been blessed having him as a special member of our family. Until we meet again...
With all our love,
The Hildebrand Family
Bob, Maria, Melissa and Jennifer

I have truly lost the most remarkable human being I have ever been associated with. I had the priveledge of spending a weekend with him in june 2002 at a retreat in Malvern, PA. His presense on the altar was unlike anything or anyone I had ever witnessed. I watched as he captivated every man in the church, like only he could, like he had done in every parish he was associated with, every man hung on his every word and the one thing we all witnessed was how much he was truly in love with the Lord. It has been hard for me to accept that he is gone, but I know he is watching over me, he told me he would when we said good-bye. Words cant express how proud I am of my family, especially my mother, for how she took care of him and his every need up until his last breath. We prayed with him, cried with him and surrounded him with the same love and affection he had given us our entire lives. Through all the unbelievable pain he experienced, his faith never wavered. His last quote in his journal was " I cant wait to see the Lord face to face and embrace him." He was special. He was unique. He was truly one in a million and he touched so many. He was my Uncle and I miss him so much.I was honored to be named after him and to be a part of his life. I cant wait to see him again face to face and embrace him.

Fr. Bob spent a short time of Our Lady Star of the Sea and kept me awake at morning Mass during the week. His warmth and gift of the Spirit later touched me when I was in spiritual crisis and needed to experience God face-to-face: Fr. Bob answered the door to my frantic knock and even let me borrow his Recovery Bible.
Thank you for sharing him with us.

Take comfort in knowing that your brother was loved by many people. He allowed us to know what it is to feel Jesus's love through his hugs. He touched our hearts and our spirits. We were honored to have known him.
We loved him so. Our prayers are with you and yours. We know Father Bob is where he wants to be HOME. He is probably making everybody laugh in Heaven, as he did so well here on earth, with his corny jokes lol.
I have a pin WWJD that I will always wear in his memory.

Words can not express my sadness with the loss of a great man and priest. At St. Bonaventure Christ the King he was one of the orginal "Gawks". "No greater love does a man have than he lay down his life for his friends". This was Father Bob. You will be missed but still loved.
