Obituary of Edward H Preine
Edward H. Preine, of Williamstown, New Jersey, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 15, 2020. He was 92.
Legacy
Edward served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was proud of his country and respected the American Flag.
Edward was a true family man. He was the absolute best father a daughter could ever ask for and not just a father to his son, but a friend that he could talk to. Edward was always ready and willing to help his family when they needed him no matter where or when. Surely his only daughter Carol will miss hearing him say "I'm putting my pants on now" when she would call on him. He taught her many things, but the love and affection between a father and daughter is one that she will cherish in her heart forever. Edward spent many years working side by side with his son, Edward, on construction sites where he taught him the tricks of the trade.
Edward enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and tried his best to never miss a game. When he wasn't spending time with his family or working on a jigsaw puzzle, he found solace on the waters surrounding the island of Brigantine, New Jersey, where he and many times Edward have spent years fishing.
Family
He is the beloved husband of the late Marion Preine; devoted father of the late George Henson, Carol Mclean and Edward Preine; dear brother to Joyce (Walt) and Carol; loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren; cherished great grandfather to 19 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Edward is predeceased by his parents Ernest Preine and Lillian Wilkins, son George Henson and his wife Nancy Henson and his son in law Albert McLean.
