Obituary of Frederick "Fred" Jones

Frederick Jacob Jones, age 65, of Woodbury, NJ, passed away suddenly and peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, March 28, 2020.

Born on January 1, 1955 in Woodbury, he was the son of Kathryn Jacobs Jones and the late Smith Hewitt Jones. 

He is survived by his mother, Kathryn, of Woodbury and brother, Robert (Martha) and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Susan Chrone. Fred is also survived by lifelong friends and many good neighbors.  

Fred graduated from Penn State University, majoring in education and was retired from the Church Farm School in Exton, PA. He was a lifetime parishioner of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Woodbury. Since retirement he devoted himself to the loving care of his mother and pursuing his favorite pastimes, reading and following politics. 

A celebration of Fred’s life memorial service will be held at a later date.
