I met Jeanne about five years ago at the Gateway Diner in Westville...her favorite place. Angelo P., Angelo F. and Jimmy (the owners) were always so nice to her. I once said "Hi" to her as I passed by and over time it grew from some small conversation to sitting with her at the diner to a full blown friendship! She was a knowledgeable and funny woman. The two of us could talk about our cats for hours. She knew I was a night person and would call me at 1 AM. And I would do the same. I used to tell her we would not be welcome in a civilized neighborhood!
I will really miss her.

I live in the same neighborhood that Jeanne lived in for several years, she was a great lady. My mom and I would go to 4:PM mass on saturday and Jeanne would sit behind us every week and we would always be early and had many a great conversations. She was devastated when Jeter was lost, I tried to help her find him we sent out information in the neighborhood and went door to door, as she gave me his picture so I could show people, he was never found, we always hoped he was taken in by someone. She truly was a beautiful person and will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family and her special neice. Sharon Hughes

My husband and I are sad to hear of Jeanne's passing. I had the pleasure of working with her for a time at Walnut St. School. She was loved by everyone there. She was a wonderful, caring teacher. We would see Jeanne here and there in stores since her retirement, we last saw her last year at a funeral. As members of Lake Hurff for many years we knew Jeanne's brother, Paul and sister in law, Charlotte-lovely folks like Jeanne! May Jeannie rest in peace with our Lord and loved ones that passed before.
Sincerely, Joyce & Mike Woodrow

Jeanne was such a kind, thoughtful woman. My brother, Joe, is married to her niece, Nancy, so I had the pleasure of seeing at her family functions over the years. She was a great conversationalist and always asked thoughtful questions about what was going on in my life. She genuinely cared about people and loved her family. RIP, Jeanne. You'll be missed.

Aunt Jean was a caring and loving woman. She dearly loved her family. Was especially close to her mother . I remember baking cookies with them in the kitchen on Spruce St. and her taking grandpop, grandmom and me to Delaware Race Track. Now she's with all her family. May you rest in peace. Love Ed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Ms. Bauer was a teacher in my elementary school! I didn't have her as a teacher but she was such a kind person. She always stopped to talk. I absolutely loved her uniqueness❤. Had the pleasure of running into her at McDonald's a few years ago and we chatted for a bit. So sorry to hear of her passing. Prayers are with her family and friends
