Obituary of Carol Ann deMackiewicz

Carol Ann deMackiewicz (Podczervinski), of Glassboro NJ, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2020 at 81 years old.

Family

Reunited in heaven, she is preceded by her son Lawrence H. deMackiewicz. Loving mother of Carrie Feuer (Stephen), Debra Cornelius (William), and Susan Mullen (Thomas Sr.); proud grandmother of Nicolette, William, Thomas Jr, Jessica, Shaina, Brady, and Kade. Carol is also preceded by her parents Walter and Bertha, survived by her sisters Jeanette and Wallace, as well as beloved nieces and nephews.

Mom

Everyone loved her! She smiled at everyone and her laughter was unforgettable. Whoever she got to know, she made a friend for life. She would not let a stranger pass by that was sad without giving them words of encouragement.

Her strong belief in God guided her, providing her great spirituality, allowing her to be present in every moment. She would always say, “It’s not my time yet, I have more work to do here.” She always had a positive attitude and said, “I trust in the Lord.”

From when we were young, she always gave her all without complaining, using her Polish drive to make it work. She did her best with what she had, always had our backs, and always asked how she could help. She thought of others first. She loved being needed. She also loved food, especially loved eating filet mignon, shrimp and crab. She loved collecting angels.

She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart (and she had a huge heart), providing hugs, encouragement and love every step of the way.

Blessed are those who are part of Carol’s family, for that family brought her enormous pride and joy through all of her days. We will forever be thankful for all she has given us and others. What an amazing role model - and we told her so. Our Mom will forever be loved, missed dearly, and never to be forgotten.

Tribute

Due to the National Health Crisis, services will be held privately. She will be buried next to her son at the Manahath Cemetery, Glassboro, NJ in a private ceremony among the dogwood trees.
