Obituary of Margaret M. McMullen

Margaret M. (nee McNulty) McMullen "Midge", 92, of Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Legacy

A strong willed and feisty lady, nothing made Midge happier than sharing time with her family.  They were her everything.  In her younger years, Midge enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and, loved to sing and dance.  She was also a proud  Mummer—one of the prize winning Golden Girls of the Two Street Stompers.

   

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, PA, Midge spent most of her life in Westville, NJ.  She also spent years in National Park and most recently, Woodbury, NJ.  An only child, Midge cherished her cousins who she thought of as siblings.  She met the love of her life, Raymond and was welcomed into his large family, and started a family of their own.  Devoted to her faith, Midge was an active parishioner of St. Matthew's RC Church, now a part of Holy Angels Parish.  She was a member of the Senior Citizen Club and the VFW in National Park and was also involved with the Meals on Wheels program. 

 

Family

Beloved wife of  73 years to Raymond H. McMullen; devoted mother of Regina (the late William) Burow, Deborah (the late Jim) Ball, Colleen (John) Tighe and the late Margie McMullen; cherished grandmother of Nicole, Bethann, Heather (Tim), Ray (Molly), Melissa (Chris), Colleen (Stan), Eric (Carol), Jessica (Dave), Regina (Matt), Sean (Victoria) and the late Kevin and Katie.  Midge is also a loving great grandmother of 23 and 2 on the way and a great great grandchild on the way.

 

Farewell Tribute

Due to the National Health Crisis, services will be held privately and a public Memorial Mass and Celebration of Midge's Life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Midge's name to Holy Angels Parish, 64 Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ  08096.
