Obituary of Mary L. Breslin
Mary "Mimi" L. Breslin (nee Geary), a 40 year resident of Washington Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully and courageously on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, surrounded by her 3 children. She was 77.
Legacy
Mary was a 1961 graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls and served as student body president 1960-1961. She returned to college later in life and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Glassboro State College in 1988. She worked at the Township of Washington for 15 years, serving as the Business Administrator, CFO, and even mayor for 2 months. She retired in 2011. She continued to serve the township by volunteering as a member on the Board of Trustees of the Margaret E. Heggan Library from 2009-2019, leading as President from 2017-2019. She was a devoted, faithful servant who was a longtime member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church. She enjoyed Phillies games, cheering on her grandkids at performances and games, and watching Jeopardy, Masterpiece Theatre, and the Hallmark Channel. She devoted her life to her family and God.
Family
Beloved wife of 37 years to the late Paul D. Breslin; devoted mother of Susan Kenderdine (Mike), Michael Breslin, and Kathleen King (Matt); dear sister to Barbara McFadden (Neil) and Sr. Patricia Geary, GNSH; deeply loving Mimi to grandchildren Megan, Evan, Hannah, Rachel, and Aidan. Mary is also survived by many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and close lifelong friends.
Mary is predeceased by her parents Edward and Catherine Geary and brother Frank Geary.
Farewell Tribute
Due to the National Health Crisis, Funeral Services for Mary will be held privately for her immediate family. A public Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
