Obituary of Eileen Intelisano
Eileen Intelisano (Webb), 87, of Glassboro, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020.
Legacy
Born and raised in Middle River, Md., Eileen met her husband Bart on the beach in Wildwood, NJ. They got married and lived in Philadelphia, Pa. where they started their loving family. After Bart passed away, Eileen, being the independent woman that she was, did all the gardening and upkeep of the house on her own. She hosted family Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners each year, which she absolutely loved. Every Christmas she would fully decorate her house including a 9-foot tree with over 600 ornaments. She expertly decorated cakes for every occasion including a whimsical Alice in Wonderland teacup cake, a bridal gown cake for a bridal shower and a Dr. Seuss “Oh The Places You Will Go” cake for Dr. Seuss Week. She was affectionately known as “The Cake Lady” by her dear friends in the Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish Senior Group. She was an excellent wood crafter, heavily involved in woodworking creations (including running a scroll saw to cut out wood figures) which were sold at the church’s annual Christmas Bizarre. She loved going on bus trips to the casinos and to see shows in Lancaster, Pa., especially with her sister-in-law Jo Marie, her partner in crime. She was an avid Phillies fan. The highlight of her life was attending the many events that her grand children and great grand children were involved in. She was a member of the Women of Lourdes and Senior Group at her church. She also was frequently seen at the Glassboro Senior Center. She was a dedicated teacher’s aide working in the catholic elementary schools in Philadelphia as part of the Title 1 education program funded by the Commonwealth of Pa.
