Obituary of Virginia "Gina" Giordano

Virginia R. “Gina” Giordano (Peterson), of Turnersville, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2020.

Legacy

Gina, as she was affectionately known, was an elementary education teacher for several schools in Gloucester and Camden Counties. She held degrees from Lynn University in Florida and Rowan University in New Jersey, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Gina was a talented painter and had her artwork proudly displayed throughout her home. She loved talking about her gift of art and will be remembered for her love of writing poetry and sharing it with family and friends. She was an avid animal lover and often donated to various animal shelters. But most of all Gina loved her family and had a way of making everyone feel special, from her handwritten notes to buying a gift ‘just because’.

Family

Beloved wife of 52 years to David Giordano; loving mother of Sharon Giordano, Laura Donahue (Howie) and the late Steven Giordano (Tracey); cherished grandmother of Rachel, Lauren, Madison, Brooke, Jack, Ashley and Alyssa; dear sister of Lauren Serzan (Ken). Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gina's visitation onThursday, July 9, 2020 from 10 am to 11 am at McGuinness Funeral Home 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ. Funeral service will begin at 11 am at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Sewell.
