Obituary of Midge Ahlers

Midge Ahlers (nee Young), 81, of West Deptford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2020, with her loving family by her side.

Legacy

A very sweet and kind women, Midge had an open door policy at her home. She always welcomed everyone and would help in any way she could for those in need - whether human or animal. Midge was an avid animal lover and adored every pet she ever had.

Midge enjoyed baking sweet treats for her family and friends and everyone loved her homemade chocolate and fudge. Celebrations were made special by her infamous homemade Lasagna that everyone loved. She was truly funny, most of the time without even knowing. Even her facial expressions were priceless. Her cryptic text messages, daily butt-dials and "Midge-isms" gave everyone a lifetime of happy memories to share and enjoy for years to come.

Family

She is the beloved Wife of the late Thomas Ahlers, Jr.; devoted mother to Felicia Dragone (Salvatore) of Philadelphia, PA and Robert Young (Kimberly) of Woolwich, NJ; loving grandmother of Sal and Anthony Dragone, Kris (Grant) Stromberg, and Kelly and Kody Basile; dear sister to Bobbie Young and Nikki (Barry) Hess. Midge is also survived by Cyndi Areias and all of her grand furbabies. Midge is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mildred (nee Hirschman) Young.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Washington Township, 573 Egg Harbor Road where CDC and State of New Jersey guidelines are in effect. Masks or face coverings will be required and we are able to invite up to 100 people into the building for this gathering. A Memorial Service with Words of Remembrance from family and friends will be held at 12:00PM at the funeral home.
