Obituary
Obituary of Doris Marie Gough
Legacy
Doris began working at age 12 and never stopped. She had a work ethic like no other! She waitressed for 18 years to raise her six children, purchase her own home, and pay her way through college, earning her Masters Degree in Social Work. She worked for The Philadelphia Corporation for The Aging for 26 years. Her compassion for others, especially for people with disabilities, guided her to dedicate her life and career to social services, volunteerism and helping others. She enjoyed sewing, arts & crafts, swimming, and family camping trips. Doris' true love was quilting. Upon retiring at age 74, she began a church ministry to share her passion, teaching others to sew and quilt. The Quilting Club ministry recently made and donated over 1,000 (face) masks. We have no doubt she'll be sewing in Heaven.
