Obituary of Natalie E. McGrattan
Natalie E. McGrattan, 83, of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020.
Legacy
Loving and kind, Nattie, as she was affectionately called, was a social butterfly who made friends easily. Resilient and strong, Nattie handled life's ups and downs with grace. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing and keeping up with current events. Nattie, who was sharp as a tack, loved reading and tackling puzzles like cryptograms and Mahjong. In her younger years, she sewed and knitted. She lovingly took care of her family, friends and her fur babies, especially her Yorkies.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Nattie resided in Wildwood and Gloucester Township, and for the past 40 years resided in Deptford, NJ. Prior to retiring, Nattie was an administrative assistant for Emergency Physicians Associates in Woodbury for over 10 years. She was also employed by the Gloucester Township Public School System. For several years, Nattie enjoyed being a real estate agent and broker.
Family
Beloved wife of the late James A.; loving mother of Maureen Hassett (the late Charles) and Gail Zierten (Daniel); devoted grandmother of James Hassett (Ashlee), Trevis, Alec (Nicole), Lane and the late, Chase Zierten and great grandmother to a bundle of joy due in August; dear sister of the late Martin Snyderman, Franklyn Snyderman, Sarine Schecter and Gloria MacClain. Nattie is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Patricia Nichols.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Nattie's viewing on Wednesday, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080, where the Funeral Ceremony will follow at 12:00 PM. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Nattie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
