Obituary of Stephen N. Nigro

Stephen N. Nigro, of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020. He was 61.

Legacy

Steve was a life-long machinist by trade working for various companies during his career. He was a very loving and gentle soul, and will be remembered fondly by everyone he encountered. Steve was one of those special people who never had a negative word to say about anyone. Always jovial with a quick wit and a laugh or a chuckle, he was happiest when in the presence of his family, forever the proudest father imaginable to his children. He had a warmth and a kindness uniquely embodied in that jovial demeanor. He harbored an unparalleled calm rarely witnessed. Levelheaded, collectively honest and straightforward, his truths were an event that would disarm even the mightiest of skeptics. Mostly, perhaps, he will be remembered how easily he loved; it came naturally to him. His sincere affection for those he loved was innate. There was no possibility of pretense; it didn’t exist. If he loved you, he was that rare type of man who could express it and be proud much the same. His type of love never had any conditions; you were fortunate to be in that circle. When you hear the phrase ‘original nice guy’, there wasn’t a soul on the planet who was more worthy of that banner. He epitomized kindness, generosity, and sincerity. If every family had someone like him within their ranks, this world might just be as beautiful as he was. The world was a beautiful place while he was here, and his legacy will continue for generations.

Family

Steve is survived by his wife, Lisa; loving father to Stephen Jr., Anthony (Crystal) and Carly; treasured son to Richard Sr. and Doris Nigro; dear brother to Richard Jr. (Tammy), Michael and Jim. Steve is also survived by many, many cherished nieces, nephews and extended family.
