Obituary of Joan C. Weidel

Joan C. Weidel, (nee Cleary) of Mickleton, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.  She was 79.
 
Legacy
Joan will be fondly remembered as a loving, thoughtful and easy going woman who loved her family very much.  She was a home maker whose passion was caring for and raising her four children.  

Joan enjoyed playing pinochle, shopping and her Friday Senior Bowling League.  Joan was an avid Phillies fan and cheered them on through the good and lean years.  

Most of all, Joan loved the time spent with her children and grandchildren creating memories that they will now cherish as her legacy

Joan is the beloved wife of Richard, Sr. for 57 years; loving mother of Mary (Scott) Johnson, Richard (Theresa) Weidel, Jr., Cynthia( Keith) Riddell & Joan Tapken; cherished grandmother of Briana (Lewis) Cesarano, Matthew, Sara & Kirsten Johnson, Victoria Aversa, Henry & Daniel Tapken, Erin, Anna Weidel & Adam Riddell; great grandmother of Mia Cesarano; dear sister of John Cleary, Jr. and the late Kathleen Tompkins & Judith Tipton. Joan is also survived by her beloved cat, Bella.
 
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joan's viewing on Saturday, August 15, 2020 after 8 AM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM in Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's R. C. Church, Cooper Street, Woodbury. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan's memory may be made to Children's Hospital, 3401 Civic Center Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19101
