Obituary of Robert Anthony Crowley
Robert Anthony Crowley, 92, of Washington Twp., passed away peacefully on September 22, 2020.
Legacy
Robert was born and raised in Cooperstown, NY and always had a connection to the area after relocating to South Jersey. In Cooperstown, he played on Doubleday field, as numerous famous baseball players did, while playing for his high school baseball team.He worked as a commercial salesman, selling heating and air conditioning units to big businesses, and as part of his role, he often spent time on the golf course entertaining his clients. He was truly an amazing salesman and a friend to his clients. Outside of work, Bob was a woodworker craftsman. He made most of the furniture in his family home, and he did things the “Right way”.
When making a piece of furniture, he never took shortcuts, and he took pride in every piece he crafted.
His other hobby was small game hunting, and mostly hunted birds, and of course he loved spending time with his lovely family. He had a great sense of humor that will be carried on for generations to come. Bob’s strong faith in God throughout his life instilled the same faith with his children. He served as a Master Sgt. in the Army during the Korean War, and prayed every day for all of his buddies he served with that had passed on.
