Obituary of Mary Murphy

Mary Murphy (nee Di Milo), 95, of West Deptford and North Wildwood, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Mary was a former resident of Brooklawn for over 60 years. Prior to retiring, Mary was a secretary for Harper and Rowe and worked in the publishing industry for over 30 years.

Legacy

A kind, sweet, and intelligent woman, Mary was devoted to her family. The Jersey shore was Mary's favorite place to be and many treasured memories were made there. Mary was an avid reader who also enjoyed the theater and going out to dinner. She enjoyed going to happy hours with her family. As Mary never drove, she enjoyed walking everywhere. She enjoyed traveling including annual trips to California. One of the highlights of her life was her trip to Italy given to her by her children for her 75th birthday.

Family

Beloved wife of the late Daniel Murphy; loving mother of Ann Marie Murphy, Michael Murphy, Eileen Murphy (Michael Wiler) and Ruth Ann Murphy; devoted grandmother of Stephen, Jacqueline (Brian), Danielle (Tyler) and Dean (Katelynn); her sister-in-law Joan (Jack Upton), dear sister of the late Anthony and John Di Milo (Joyce Cariola). Mary is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
