Obituary of Dr. George Leder
Dr. George M. Leder, a 29 year resident of Glassboro, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020. He was 76.
Legacy
From his roots as a Brooklyn boy obsessed with sports, to his 35 years as a Rowan University Chemistry professor, to his sabbatical years in the California Bay Area, George was a man of movement and energy. Even when diagnosed with cancer, he never gave up-instead, he kept pushing himself to find new treatments and therapies, and to continue living the life he wanted for himself.
No matter where he was, George was blessed with great relationships-he especially enjoyed playing basketball, tennis, and golf with his friends, as well as cheering on the Eagles and Sixers. He was a man of good conversation and great advice who was always there to lend an ear or help work out a problem. His family loved and cherished him, and he always returned the favor. We all miss him terribly.
Family
Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Eleanor (nee Orlevitch) Leder, he is the beloved husband of Alice M. Stern; devoted father of Jason Leder; dear brother to Ann Sharon (the late Joel) and Sam Leder (Joann). George is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
