Obituary of Vincent R. Tancredi
Vincent (Vinny) Richard Tancredi, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was aged 51.
Legacy
Vincent was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Bishop John Neumann High School and attended Temple University. Starting from his teenage years working in a local pizza shop, to a bakery learning to make bread and pastries, to restaurants starting as a cook and going to top chef clearly showed his passion was creating fabulous food and cooking. Prior to his current employer Barone’s Tuscan Grill some of his former employers were House of Blues (Myrtle Beach), Pizzicato Restaurant (Philadelphia), Chubby’s 1 1/2, Woodcrest Country Club (New Jersey).
Away from work, Vincent enjoyed following all of the Philadelphia professional sports teams and traveling to unique locations. When in Italy or Mexico, he enjoyed discovering their culinary traits and learning how to get it right. Vincent will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family
Vincent is survived by his son Vincent Robert Tancredi; Father, Richard Tancredi and step-mother, Lucille Lucidi Tancredi; step-grandmother, Antoinette Lucidi; former wife and mother of Vincent Robert Tancredi, Cindy Neufer; and dear friend, Christine Hoag. He is also survived by his mother, Marie Pollock Tancredi; siblings, Marcus, Dawn, and Tina Tancredi. Vincent will be missed by his Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Vincent's viewing Tuesday evening 6:00- 8:00 PM and Wednesday, 9-10:30 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM in Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's R. C. Church, Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ. Due to the current health restrictions; the capacity permitted to attend Mass is limited to 50. In lieu of flowers Vincent’s family requests prayers offered or a donation to the charity of the donor’s choice.
