Obituary of Rose K Mukalian

Rose K. (Karbakian) Mukalian of Glassboro, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the age of 86. 

Legacy

Rose grew up in West Philadelphia and always remembered her roots and maintained a strong connection to the area. She worked at Penn Hospital when she was 22 years old and after getting married, she stayed at home taking care of her children.  Years later she worked for Strawbridge & Clothier.  In 1981 Rose became co-owner of Simpkins Cleaners in Woodbury, NJ which became the family business.

She loved reading, playing cards and mahjong with her dear friends. Most of all she loved her grandchildren, having fun with them, spending time with them and taking them to the zoo.

Family

Loving wife for 63 years to William D. Mukalian, Sr., beloved mother of William D. Mukalian, Jr., Susan V. Mukalian, Jeffrey W. Mukalian and Karen G. Charles (David M.); cherished grandmother of David M Charles Jr. and Anthony V. Charles; cherished aunt of Charles Mangigian (Marie) and Martin Mangigian (Cindy).

Farewell Tribute

Visitation will be held at McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096 on December 26, 2020  from  9-11 am .  Following the visitation, a graveside committal service will take place at the Gloucester County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 240 S. Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ 08094. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Rose’s name to St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church, 8701 Ridge Rd., Philadelphia PA 19128.
