Obituary of Robert C Greatrex, Sr.

Robert C. Greatrex, Sr., 88, of West Deptford, NJ passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. 

Legacy

He worked as a materials handler for Glaxosmithkline for numerous years and when not working Bob enjoyed fishing, crabbing, shooting pool & darts, boating and going for walks.  Bob was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Airforce and a member of VFW Post 6884 of National Park, NJ and also a member of the Garrison Army/Navy club and was a Free Mason. He was also past commander of the National Park Boat Club.

Family

Robert leaves behind his beloved wife Marian (Foster) and is the loving father of William Greatrex (Kim), Robert Greatrex Jr. and Richard Greatrex; grandfather  of Kelly Miller, Raymond Kinsella, Janine McKinney, William Greatrex Jr., Ava Mary Greatrex, Richard Greatrex Jr., Lisa Greatrex, and Robert Greatrex III; Great  grandfather of Seth, Hunter, Aria, Charlotte, Colin, Reily and Gavin.  Bob also leaves behind his loving step children, Harry DeSantis (Jennifer), Walter Talley (Kimberly) and Megan Coalson (Ken). Bob also leaves behind his cherished dog Maggie.

Farewell Tribute

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ  08096.  Funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 8 pm.  Interment will take place at Woodbury Memorial Park on Saturday January 2, 2021 at 1 pm.
