Obituary of Katherine F Centanni

Katherine F. Centanni, 92, of Cherry Hill, NJ formerly of Deptford, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. 
 
Legacy
A loving and kind woman, Katherine was cherished not only by her loving family, but also her dedicated caretakers.  She had a sweet nature about her and was a social butterfly.  Katherine will be remembered as a wonderful cook and baker and loved to spoil her family and friends with her meals, especially her cheesecake, holiday soup and lasagna with meatballs.  Trips to the shore, whether it be Ventnor, Wildwood or Atlantic City always were special moments and cherished memories.  And who could forget the special bond between Elvis Presley and Katherine as they shared the same birthday.  

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Katherine moved to Westville and then the family purchased their home in Deptford, New Jersey in the late 1950's.  Katherine's daughter, Luanne was born with cerebral palsy and the relationship with St. John of God and the Gloucester County ARC were formed.  Katherine was generous with her time and money and was heavily involved with fund raising  for the Cerebral Palsy Association, St. John of God and the Gloucester County ARC.  

Family
Beloved wife of the late, Louis A. Centanni; loving mother of Mark (Kerry L.) Centanni, Louis Christopher Centanni and Luanne Centanni; cherished grandmother of Louis Alfonso Centanni, Karly Rae Centanni and Adam M. Centanni. Katherine is survived by her stepchildren Theresa Centanni Pioppi, Joseph A. Centanni, Mildred Centanni Warren and predeceased by her parents, Frank J. Pikul and Anna M (nee Steiner) and brothers, Frank J. and James S. Pikul.
 
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Katherine's Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 21, 2021, 11:00 AM at Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's RC Church, 64 Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ.  Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Katherine's name to St. John of God,  1145 Delsea Drive, Westville, NJ  08093.
