Joseph Clark, Jr.

Obituary of Joseph A. Clark, Jr.

Joseph A. Clark, Jr. of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021. He was 79.

Legacy

A man that was truly devoted to loving and supporting his family, Joseph was happiest when he was surrounded by those he loved and treasured the most. He always stayed young at heart.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Joseph was drafted to the United States Army where he served proudly during the Vietnam War. He met the love of his life, Joan, through his friend, Joseph Duke. They were married in 1972 and later moved to Gloucester County where they would remain. Joseph was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Philadelphia for over 30 years before retiring in 2001.

Joseph loved life and all it had to offer. He spent many years taking trips to Wildwood with his family. He enjoyed a good meal spent with family, music, and was known to be the "center of attention" on the dance floor. If there was a party, you could find Joseph there. Joseph had a lifelong passion for movies and loved introducing others to films he thought they would enjoy. He could never pass up an interesting movie, enjoyed keeping up with the latest tv shows, and was well known among the local libraries he visited regularly to replenish his reading materials. Later in life, Joseph enjoyed watching Philly sports, especially the Eagles and Phillies, and discussing with family.

Family

Son of the late Joseph A. and Catherine L. (Roach) Clark Sr., he is the beloved husband of 41 years to the late Joan (Duke) Clark. Joseph is the devoted father of Joan M.
