Obituary of Richard A. Brown, Sr.

Richard Brown Sr., 96, of Woodbury, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2021. 

Legacy

He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved going to his grandchildren's activities.  He enjoyed going on cruises, wood crafting and craft shows and he was an avid Phillies fan. In retirement he liked to sit outside and talk to the neighbors.  He was known as the “Mayor” of Wick Blvd.  He was a member of the United States Navy and served during World War II.

Family

He is the beloved husband of the late Katherine A. Brown (Nee Birney).  Devoted father of Katherine J. Schaub (Donald), Richard A. Brown, Jr. (Linda) and Kenneth J. Brown (Terri).  Treasured grandfather of Matthew Brown, Sr. (Kristina), Danielle Cleary (Keelan), Michelle Brown, Melissa Brown, Andrea Mokan (Eric) and great-grandfather of Matthew Brown, Jr., Emma Brown, Carter Mokan and Everly Mokan.  Son of the late Anna and John Brown.  He will be missed by family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday January 27th from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home- Woodbury Location, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury NJ 08096.  Funeral Service at 11:00AM.  Interment Calvary Cemetery Cherry Hill, NJ.
